I think I got the deal of the century this weekend. I managed to pick up a first edition first printing of William Goldman's The Princess Bride for $8!
Minus the one stain on the cover the book itself is in amazing shape. The binding is still tight and resists opening. It's been maybe read once. The DJ on the other hand is almost non existent. For a book this clean I'm amazed how a DJ can be only half there. Even still just to have a copy of the book I'm tempted to get a facsimile DJ and just put it on for my collection. I'll see what I can do with the DJ and post photos later of it
Ah man, that's rockin'! Great price, that is not an easy book to track down. I received the Folio edition for Christmas.
I have the Easton Press edition. It's quite nicely illustrated and in a slipcase.
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.
Might have to get the Folio edition too!

Does anyone have the regular illustrated edition? If so are the illustrations the same as the EP copy? Does the EP one have a frontispiece?
Wow- BOTH of those PRINCESS BRIDE editions look great. Thanks for sharing. Changing my mind on those...
Speaking of Easton- Received PSYCHO in the mail from them today. This fits the criteria of books I'll buy from them now: Unique (and agreeable) cover and spine stamping, relevant to the story, and, either interior illustrations (this edition does not have interiors, FYI), or a color frontispiece (also has to be "agreeable"- some are just naff). Very pleased with this edition. Probably the best edition of PSYCHO now.
Here are some photos of Mark Lawrence' The Broken Empire by Grim Oak Press, lettered edition.
Heavy book, a nicely done traycase - overall a super job by Shawn Speakman to bring this omnibus to life:

I never heard of Mark Lawrence, but that is a nice looking book. If I had time I'd read something by him.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
Very classy looking!
