Calm down Bob. Remember this is his "international rights" agent only. The good stuff stayed in the USA with Kirby McCauley.

It seems that all the stuff is from Ralph Vicinanza. My contact inside the spanish publisher dealt with him directly, so several of my arcs and proofs have Ralphs seal inside. The address is from NY (Yes...I know NYC is a big city, but if you consider Ralph died last year, it's not odd that this appear for sale)

Not much time before the auction and the descriptions (especially of the manuscript material) are really lacking. Probably all photocopies but there could be a real gem in there. You would almost have to go through that stuff in person to know for sure. I would love to be able to sort through that stuff and see what is really there. Somebody in New York needs to haul ass over there immediately and find out what they really have. This looks to be material from King's agent. Holy shit!

The Lisey's Story manuscript is a second draft and Needful Things has handwritten notes throughtout so it may well be a first or second draft. The manuscripts, all of which are photocopies and most of which are final drafts, are to be sold as a lot. They were found in Mr. Vicinanza's wine cellar and almost got tossed but someone at the auction house thought they might be of value.

OK. I've calmed down. You are probably right. The McCauley stuff is all sold anyway. I'm pretty sure both Kirby and Kay have sold pretty much everything for various reasons over the years.

It would be interesting to know if the corrections are original handwritten or photocopied and if they are King's writing or someone else's. I suspect it is just all photocopied.

Even if all of the manuscripts are photocopies I'll bet they bring more than the auction house thinks they will. I'm guessing $150 to $200 per manuscript times how ever many there are.

    Bob,

I called the auction house this morning. It is my understanding that the notes on Needful Things , as well the manuscripts themselves, are photocopies.

My mistake. I've not been interested in the gift or limited versions of this book, as they are not signed by King.

I have purchased from this seller many times, and she is EXCELLENT to deal with. Friendly, quick responses to queries, and more importantly Sherri packs her books the best I have ever seen. I would not hesitate in recommending people use her, and in fact encourage it.

Thats the second one I've seen so far from the FL. book store.
The first listing was pulled shortly after it was put up.
I wonder how many copies there are?

I think that guy bought those at the estate sale in NY last week. Some have markings from one of King's agents, Ralph Vicinanza.

The items weren't pulled, the URL's aren't being copied full when being quoted. The other one ended with no bids, and this one currently is still up with no bids.
