One thing that contributed to the high number of bidders was that a link was posted in this forum drawing attention to the auction - that's how I found out about it. However my lowball bid was surpassed long ago.
Unbeliveable.....I talked with Robert last year about DT1 and he expressed surprise at how well that book had done and I asked about the cover and he said he wouldnt be surprised if there was a box of them tucked away somewhere at DMG....Hey Karen...start lookin' or if ya want I'll come snooping around for ya but I get to keep what I find

I had been watching this one too. About 12 years ago, I bought one of these from Roy at Badmoon Books for $50 and thought...wow...I can't believe I am paying $50 for a dust jacket!

Interesting auction. Full set of Grant DT editions but NO DUST JACKETS! Books look to be in good shape. I am almost tempted as I have several extra DJs and others I can get from Grant.

Overall, I think this might be an auction that people will dismiss because of the DJs, so it may go for a low price...ie a bargain for a resourceful person here that can add the jackets for a modest extra amount.

I was too stupid back when I got the Pet Semetery 1st Ed and asked the kid in the bookstore what was this book listed on the "also by King" list. He did not know and I sort of let it go! Huge mistake - too bad there was no internet back then!
