I think someone posted this earlier in another thread. I don't like the way the book looks... at all. If you want a leatherbound edition, I'd rather go for one of those slipcased leatherbound omnibus sets with King's book and, what was it, Isaac Asimov and Ludlum?

*edit: this is the one I'm talking about:

So far I have only heard of one book missing a signature, and one with two signature pages. Everything else has been damage from shoddy packaging.

I am never comfortable buying unopened S/L's on eBay because I prefer the seller to first inspect what they sell. So, if it's unopened, I'm not comfortable until I receive the item, tear off the shrinkwrap, and make sure everything is in order.

Mulleins, has she got her replacement back from S&S? If so, how long did it take? sorry for all the questions.

I think it took roughly 14 days for the whole process. She felt very uncomfortable sending her book but they did take care of it. A very nice copy showed back up. I'm going to be selling it for her. $385 shipped.

It is. Very well done. The "Modern Classics" angle was what struck me more than anything. Plus I love Asimov and the "Foundation" series as well.

LOL Shannon. What struck me from the get go was that they included NS a collection of short stories and not another novel.

They are in the exact order my favorite to my least favorite of the four titles. It's really pretty simple.

I had to return my s/l 11/22/63 cause it was damaged in shipping. And yeah, I have a perfect copy back now and it took about two weeks.

I wonder if S&S has the sense to sell all these damaged books or if they'll just desroy them.

Havent been on for a while but I thot I would update anyone who followed my S&S horror story: I did get the SL and turned around and sold it for just over 400, but I also got the trade edition from them which I was going to send back (if you recall I had cancelled that order) but turns out they credited my credit card not only for the trade edition but also for "shipping" that in fact I never actually paid. So I ended up making a nice profit on the SL and getting a free 1st1st trade out of it. S&S do suck but at least my story has a satisfactory ending...

I seriously doubt that is Stephen King's note and signature.
