Good stuff there. Congrats.
Good stuff there. Congrats.
Thanks everyone! I loved "If You Could See Me Now", and that ARC looks and feels very old-timey. I imagine the ARCs are indeed rare, but these onex were not hard to find. Perhaps now they are, now that I've snagged the ones that were available online. I'm considering doing the "collect them all" thing with Straub ARCs. They sure are a lot cheaper than the King ones, and the books are great.
Love the Straub adds... Congrats Vincent!
Thanks Peri!
Just arrived today in all its glory:
Having great fun going through it all.
Another fantastic addition of an edition!
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
Now that is sweet. Congrats on your Needful Things collection.
Wow...WOW!
Gotta love the NT woodcuts.
In the village all the children running home
- they sing hymns that haunt them when they're all alone.
Very nice

Great stuff! Congrats man
Thanks everyone!
It's very nice that we share this love for manuscripts, Jeff. Now all I need is the UK proof for Needful Things, and that one seems to be pretty impossible to find!

in chapter 11 of Needful things, an "intersecting" corridor
becomes an "interesting" corridor in the UK edition
how interesting!
It was probably an interesting intersecting corridor full of giant insects.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
Wow, fantastic items, Vincent - both the proof and the manuscript! Just, wow!

Here is my Dreamcatcher stuff:
I liked Dreamcatcher, especially the first chapters: these four best friends since childhood, they're all doing the grownup thing and don't see each other a lot anymore, but they think about each other every day, and all year long they're looking forward to their one week together. This is very recognizable to me. Also, it's kind of like the flipside to IT and The Body, how those kids would be if they'd grown up without all the nastiness that happened. I think King writes friendship like no one else. It's my favorite thing in his books.
The ledger is very cool, you see the writer at work there: making notes on the inside front cover of the ledger. Some things to be added in the second draft, and a drawing and some notes on what happened with the standpipe in IT. The page numbers mentioned, are from the Signet paperback, not the hardback. Nice to know that King looked it up in the paperback.
Supernice Dreamcatcher collection Vincent !!!
