Hi, I just found my box of DT comics with Variants (no sketch ones) all in plastic with boards. Are these worth anything now? Just checking ebay looks like even the sketch variants sell less than $20. Should I try to sell, just donate them or try to get some trade in dough from the local comic shop?

How about the 999 s/l (not signed by king) - the numbered version.

$150. If one gets King to sign it (there are few people that have done that), $400+.
Buy the lettered one for $400 ($40 shipping), and get King to sign it. I've never heard of a lettered that King later signed.

I'm thinking of selling my unused set of Grant DT slipcases (the I-III, IV-V & VI-VII cases).

Curious as to what the value of these would be? I know the second two are easy to come by, but you don't often see the first one without the set of books in it...

That is a tough question. I know Grant still sells them as I WAS JUST looking for what you have. IF you asked me what would I have paid? I would have went to a $100 for the set. I got them custom made instead for about $150... Wish I had seen this like 2 weeks ago... lol

Depends on condition. Ranging from $750 for a VG+ copy to $1,500-2,000 for a NF copy, I'd say (assuming you're referring to a 1st printing, of course ). A mint copy would go for a lot more but I think Bob's the only one to own a true F/F copy these days.

Michael is right on values. I paid for my NF/NF copy, a few years ago pre-recession, close to $2000. So it's possibly now worth less. I heard there may be as few as 600 copies printed, but a lot went to libraries so many are in poor shape.

I suspect that there are several other really nice copies out there besides mine. It is a hard one, though, to find in tip top condition.
