"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

I sold one for $2000
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
Sorry to interrupt but not sure where else to post. I want to thank a member on here for their generosity. Not sure if they prefer to remain anonymous or not but I believe this is the thread that started it and you know who you are
Have had some great help with both questions and book buying. That's a thank you to everyone else who has done that

what would you say is the value of IT UK NEL Special Collector's Edition? 2000 made, with facsimile signature on first page and SK in yellow letters ?
There have been a few on ebay in the last year, one went via auction for around $150 if I remember correctly. The seller did a very good job with it, it was the first to come online in a good long time, not long after the 2017 movie, shipped from America, and had one of these all-caps descriptions that begins with WOW!!! One or two also went in the $75 range I believe. One was online recently for £100, it was relisted a few times but I presume it has sold now, as I can't find it anymore.
I have three, two I think would classify as VG, one as NF. If anyone is interested in one and is willing to pay shipping from Belgium, we can talk.
That's really cool, Alan. Do you guys happen to have a photo of what one looks like?

ok,
here they are:
the first one is in the best condition. It's in a protective wrapper.
unfortunately there is a tiny crease along the spine
and some dust has krept underneath
The second one:
front cover very nice
but a crease and some damage to the spine
it also seems to have gone a bit s-shaped
The third one:
two creases along the cover
sideview
some spots and yellowing here
here's the back
I'm not very good at grading, sorry if my 1)NF and 2&3)VG was off.
I'd like to keep one of them, but it doesn't matter to me which.
It would be handy to know how you value these. Number 3 around $75?
If you’re selling one, I’d be interested.
Looking for Mister Slaughter S/L #78
I'm keeping one of them, so I can sell two, doesn't matter to me which. Sentinel has also expressed interest. I'd like to sell two for what they are worth, so I'd appreciate some opinions, and then get back to you.
Also, shipping will be from Belgium (not much I can do about that). Shipping with tracking would have to be 32.80 € (something like $37). I'm in the wrong country for selling, I'm afraid.
EDIT ABOUT SHIPPING: I checked the Belgian Post website again, it seems I can send it as a package standard delivery for 13 euros, which is a lot less than 32, sorry about that.

I live close to Rotterdam nowadays but I’m originally from Zeeuwsch-Vlaanderen (Terneuzen). Where do you live, Vincent?
Hi Biomieg, I'm from Bruges originally, now live in Mortsel by Antwerp, where I work at the university. I also have a four year old at home, by the way, arent they a handful and then some. I vacation often in Zeeland, at the seaside in Groede. Love the dialect there. Thank you for all your work in the manuscripts and proofs section of this site, I browse it very very often

Yes, Groede is nice. My mother’s family is from Oostburg and they have a couple of vacation houses in Cadzand, which is not too far away from Groede as you know. Four-year olds are definitely a tough bunch haha... we keep telling ourselves that most eighteen-year olds are sort of grown up and well-behaved so things will probably get easier during the next fourteen years I work at the Technical University in Delft, by the way. Seems we have a few things in common. Nice to meet you!
Thanks for posting, Vincent. They do look familiar now that I've seen them.
