Team, in recognition that the Grant DT slipcase for 1-3 is hard to find without the set of books being sold with it, what would you value a set of 1-7 Grant slipcases (the three cases, not including WTTK).

    Thanks

Still issue price, imo. I just got MY set from Grant just a few months ago. Though the 1st was Out Of Stock, Robert W did find a #1-3 for me. It presumably was a nicked/scratched one, but I'll be danged if I can really find much of a flaw in it. Don't know if there are still others of the same, but I'm not sure that it would be a high premium set at this point, particularly when it's main job is to protect the books that go inside. Others with more experience may have more informed market information.

You know, James you may just want to consider a, Jeff Whiley set of cases (there's a thread somewhere around here that, Stroppygoblin put together). He's reasonably priced, does excellent work and could probably emulate them to a "T". True, they may not be actual "Grant Cases", but damn if the guy doesn't put out a stellar product.

They are single plain black cases with Stephen King written on the side. Here is a picture of another book as an example...

The slipcase for I-III has been sold out for a while now. The others are still available however. You CAN still get the I-III slipcase by purchasing the collectors set (3rd Edition Gunslinger, 2nd Edition DOTT and 1st Edition Wastelands)
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

You may be right I was just going off of the last newsletter he sent out. This may be only for those who have already ordered them.
Lastly, just a quick note that Song of Susannah slipcases have shipped from the bindery and should be back in stock within a couple of days. Any existing orders that contain this case will ship out before the end of the week.

Thanks gents (and nice to see you referencing the post card Bill )

I actually have a set of them, brand new, never used that I was wondering if there would be a worthwhile market for selling them. I had a simple wooden case made for my first edition DT set so never ended up using them. I guess I could consider putting together a second set with the artist editions of the later books...

    Thanks again team.

Can anyone give me estimated values for numbered and lettered editions of Legends: Short Novels by the Masters of Modern Fantasy edited by Robert Silverberg?

The books are signed by all contributors (Stephen King, Terry Goodkind, Orson Scott Card, Robert Silverberg, Ursula K. Le Guin, Raymond E. Feist, Terry Pratchett, George R. R. Martin, Tad Williams, Anne McCaffrey and Robert Jordan) and the books and slipcases are in fine condition.

Numbered is going for $1500-$1700. And the lettered... wow, tough one as there is not a lot of info. I would dare say $2000-$2200.
