    Hutch told me in 1998 that there were "less than 50." No one knows for sure on these things. I usually find these kind of statements more amusing than factual.

    If you are the seller I think it is in your best interest to tell a low number to a potential buyer. Then the buyer perpetuates the made-up number he was told on message boards like this. And there was never any verifiable number to begin with.

    No. When originally sold, it was possible to order the deluxe numbered edition together with a Whelan illustration. It came on a separate piece of paper.
    Maybe the term remarque does not apply here.
