I'm not going for profit. I just think it's a reasonable drive to attend one of his book signings. I'll probably just try to trade my extra copy for another signed 1st.

I was thinking of all three of these dates but learning here that he will probably only be signing EOW (if in fact it is a signing, was hoping to get the others signed); Tulsa is perfect for me. Literally right down the road .

    June 13 Iowa City, IA
    June 14 Omaha, NE
    June 15 Tulsa, OK

When he is promoting a specific book, it's rarely/never allowed.
He will be at the National Book Festival in DC this year. Maybe he will sign older titles there?
Wanted: Human skin edition of The Book of the Dead. Will accept PC copy.

Intriguing. I've always wanted to go to DC. How does the book festival work? Is it a ticketed event?

Dayton not too far also. These are the three for me, was thinking of the Vegas meet up in June this changes all for me. My sister lives in Vegas, Mother is in Louisville (just moved from Vegas last year} and have a brother in Nashville, I must pass thru Dayton on way to both.

I can't believe all the author love Iowa City is getting this spring/summer. Joe Hill in May, Justin Cronin probably in May/June (he always makes a stop there shortly after a book release), and then King himself in June.

It looks like it's going to be a good year to be living here (assuming I don't miss out on tickets...)

Plus one of my all time favorites, Max Allan Collins, lives near there.

Oh, yeah, MAC is the best -- probably my favorite author, and unlike King I can afford a large collection of signed and first editions!

Oh well I guess Joe Hill has spoiled me with his signings lol... (I think the only criteria he has is it needs to be written by him, someone wanted him to sign the dedication page for 'The Shining' and said no to that.)

I get the idea of asking, but it's SO creepy to me...plus, what is supposed to say? "Thanks, dad!" I just don't get it...

But, of course I understand the mindset.

Nashville is closest to Florida. But if I'm going to Las Vegas in early June for the meet-up it might become problematic to go to Nashville a couple of weeks later.
