Absolutely gorgeous slipcases. I'm surprised, though, there's not a copyright-infringement with the use of the same title/font and cover artwork on the sides of the slipcases, but they're undeniably sharp-looking. If I had a set of nice 1sts, I'd certainly give them serious thought.

The font and art aren't exactly the same as the copyrighted fonts and art. They are similar but intentionally different. Fair use comes into play too.

All artwork was created from scratch and not scanned or duplicated. Wherever possible fonts are public domain versions or again created from scratch as vector line drawings. A LOT of work went into creating these!

I'm really not too picky, either works for me with an adjustment to the "R" font. If you want to play with it a little more for the sake of playing, I'd suggest losing the lines in the "O's", maybe exchanging them with the "C" and the "G"? Or perhaps eliminating them altogether, just for shits and giggles. Again, either one looks fine to me, I'm just saying as I don't know how much time you want to invest. "K-I-S-S" familiar with that phrase? LOL LOL LOL

I'd love to get some opinions on slipcase colors. I have signed 1sts of Bag of Bones, Rose Madder, and Joyland that need a good home.

I'm thinking black with white lettering for Rose Madder and black with gold lettering for BoB.

For Joyland, maybe black or red with gold lettering?

I really like the Ruby Red Buckram material. Maybe that one for the Joyland. Gold or silver printing on that looks good. The color combinations you mentioned for the other two sound good.

And for those who are curious what it would look like in Brown

    Pet Semetary Brown/White

And for those curious about PS with Burgandy (not too bad but I like the brown)

Firestarter White/Orange (Sorry I don't own a FS to compare)

    The DeadZone Black/Gold

    Different Seasons Black/White (I like Brian's Blue/White)
Borrowing JS' photo from above for comparison; here's the black vs. blue slipcase for Different Seasons. The black looks like it actually matches better but I still like the blue.

I see a lot of people displaying the books with slipcase out. I assume this is a decision to protect from sunlight? I'm asking because I've always displayed mine with the spine facing out as I like the way that looks. Do most of you display them with the slipcase facing out?

I do personally unless there isn't any thing printed on the slipcase, then I display with spine out. Just a personal thing for me as my books aren't exposed to sunlight.

    IT's not a priority then?

I'm going to be in Perth Australia for the Christmas holidays and then I'm flying to Florida the day after I get back. My wife has threatened me with castration if I take my laptop on holiday (still have my iPad though, so will be checking in here ) and Florida is a full on business seminar.

Likely to protest from sunlight. I display mine with the spine of the book showing. I don't have sunlight where the books are but the only set I do display with the slipcase side facing out is my signed DT set.

If you have a room without windows that is fine. Otherwise, the sun will bleach the spine.

Although a Brodart or similar polyester dustjacket cover will help mitigate that.

Enjoy Australia Stroppy! Perth is awesome. I wouldn't be surfing/swimming over there, but I do know that the beer is cold and the seafood is amazing.

Thanks, this will be the fourth holiday there, (my brother in law emigrated about 12 years ago and we will be staying in his house).
I've done the east coast a couple of times too, but they were both whirlwind business trips (UK > Brisbane > Sydney > Melbourne Adelaide > UK in 7 days!) so no chance to surf (or even relax!)
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
