The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
For those who have ordered from Jeff Whiley in the past, how long does shipping usually take to the U.S. The last time I ordered from him (back in 2013) I got the slipcases 5 days after he mailed them. It's been a little over two weeks now since he sent them, so I'm just wondering if there was an issue somewhere along the way.
Oh that's really nice! Never seen or considered this color combination.
Yeah that looks really sharp. Great colour!
Looks great! Really dig the color combo
Very sharp. Congrats!!!

"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
Very nice!!

I never thought I'd find something to fit this puppy:
But Jeff's slipcase is perfect. Now - do I remove the shrink wrap?? Hmmm.
Of course you do.
And then you read the book. That's why it's there.

Very nice. I had been thinking of getting a slipcase made for my copy which is already in the Collector traycase, then I realized I would be getting a slipcase for a traycase. Maybe that's just slightly insane. May end up doing it though some day.
You're right. So I did. But actually read the book?
13 1/4 inches high, 9 1/4 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches deep. I don't think he was impressed with my using a Stanley Power Lock tape. I have since gone back and read about measuring and duh - if I had thought of millimeters. I collect stamps and that's all in millimeters. I have great millimeter measurers. Next time. I would really like something for the Hyperion books from SP.
I tried to get a decent pic of it standing - mostly it just came out as a black hole. Here's the best. I'm very happy with the fit.
I keep seeing double (or sometimes triple!) when I look at your shelves...

It's an ongoing discussion: yes, read the book. Read your limiteds - even the lettered editions.
I do.

I recommend, if you have kids (and you love them), to have them scribble some love and admiration inside the books for you too. If you don't like the color of certain slipcases, then buy some paint and paint them the color you want. I'd suggest something that shows you mean business; like dayglo orange. That's what collectors are here for. To help others make wise decisions and give support. No need to thank me. I'm here to help.
