    I am now able to watch the advertisements but then it's telling me "The video you have requested is unavailable or may have expired." Then I found a link to the video on metacafe but I only see an advert and then it hangs and then moves on to another video. Maybe CBS pulled it.

    No, loads fine after the ad. Try Internet Explorer with any addons disabled. The video might not load if there's any cookie or ad blocking going on. (This is the only reason I ever use IE.)

    Mr. Mercedes sounds fascinating to me. Love King doing straight fiction lately on a small scale so a whole novel (and it sounds like it might be on the lengthy side) of such is great news.
