I agree. Although not a PS book, as an example, Camelot holds my number for the Game of Thrones series. I can't just contact Sub Press and order my number directly from them. Camelot owns that number.

I canceled an order of one of these anniversary editions, and Nicky refunded all my money. No big deal.

Both Nicky(PS) and Mindy(CD) have been very good with cancellation refunds or damage rebates when necessary.

I'm getting mine from Camelot and theirs is $120. It would be way cheaper to get the books direct from PS but my number is locked in with Camelot. I understand PS don't want to cut out their major distributor but this still sucks. Each book is $120 + around $20 for shipping.

PS Publishing have control over numbering, not Camelot. If you email Pete direct and explain the situation (include a photo of the limitation page in your other books to prove that you own that particular #), I'm sure he will he sell you a matching numbered copy of Salem's Lot, so that you are not held to ransom by Camelot. It's not in PS Publishing's interest to force you to buy your books from any particular seller.

I asked Pete directly if I could start buying my number from him and he said "no". I do not remember his exact words, but he could not stop sending the numbers to the other booksellers! The book seller I ordered from went up even higher than Camelot!

I would also like to know ps publishings cancellation policy for expensive editions like "thinner"!

I agree... CD's policy is amazing hence why I asked about PS's.... has anyone had any issues with cancelling an order? Like Glenn said... for someone to say order Thinner for like$3 grand and something change in their lives and need that money for say your mortgage... if you have not received the book.. why would you not be able to get your money back? I cannot find the policy on their site either.... anyone?

I kind of like this art from 'Knowing Darkness' which is for 'The Mist'. Really captures the whole 'Cosmic horror' aspect IMO.



But the one for 'The Raft' is pretty good if I were to pick.
