Mike is aiming to make active the order page for our deluxe edition of Stephen King’s CARRIE on Saturday 21 June at 9 pm England time. That means it’ll be 1 pm in LA and western Canada; 4 pm in New York and eastern Canada; 10 pm, 11 pm or midnight on mainland Europe; and 4 to 6 am in Australia. I think that pretty much clinches it for fairness but please DO NOT rely on my knowledge of time zones: if you’re in any doubt then I suggest you go online and check out what the time is in YOUR area. There will be a counter on the page when it goes up so that only 26 copies may be purchased. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

Thanks for the vote of confidence brotha I am going to give it the college try even though I am still struggling with the price. This, and someone correct me if I am wrong, is the most expensive King book ever right off the press... and that worries me a bit. I sincerly hope it does not set the new norm!!!

I know of a few... some are part of my hesitation as well Bob. I mean I have the cash... but do I want to spend this much? Thinking I will try but still got time to be sure... I wish they would provide some pictures...

From what I read I realize that the Carrie Lettered edition would be one of the rarest and nicest King limiteds ever produced. Unfortunately I’m not a buyer at that price. I still wonder, without seeing what the book looks/feels like, what would be its market value, what it might sell for when things have calmed down?

There is a finite amount that 99% of King collectors will not cross when buying books. I have noticed that this sum is around $3000, for these 99%. So........

Those of the 1% left, will pay ANYTHING to get their hands on a copy. Is this 1% more than 26. I think it is. So in answer to your question......

Even if it was signed by King on a sheet of bog roll, and illustrated by an unknown paraffin lamp, the top collectors will buy it at ANY price.

Scary how accurate you are with that # MRT. Before the price was released I was a buyer for sure up to exactly that $ amount.

If I wouldn't spend above that mark on a Lettered freak'in CARRIE, I pretty much wouldn't spend it on ANY King book.
