Speaking for myself this one should be nixed because we have NO chance against Explorer. We would all leave pissed off, tired, sunburned, and Explorer would probably be walking away with a suitcase full of books.
I typically get to Vegas once a year. At worst, every other year. So, I'd definitely be up for a 2013 visit in Sin City if that pans out!
Given the lingering "high" from the RBR event I say we try to do it this fall. Sept/Oct? Maybe even "Halloween" would be appropriate???

Definitely the Stanley; I don't think my wife would mind me making the 2-hour drive!
*Edit* And we have casinos at Cripple Creek, an 1890s gold mining town! From Estes Park to CC it's 180 miles, about a 3.5 hour drive. Day trip!

Just a thought, but how about a get-together in Vegas this fall and then maybe a large gathering at the Stanley next year when more people have time to prepare for a trip?

And as much as I would love to plan out two trips my concern is 2013 signings for Dr. Sleep. I know that the release date is not set in stone but I think its safe to assume it will be released in 2013 and that (I hope) means a signing tour. Being in the west and all signings seem to happen in the east I need to consider finances as well.
Bottom line is I agree with Cook. Love you guys but if it comes down to a financial choice a signing event would be my priority.
BUT - Vegas this Fall I can do no problem!
I love the idea, but I already have two trips scheduled and paid for in 2013, so there would be no time for me to try and squeeze in a third.
