I'd seriously recommend that you pull this auction because the signature is a forgery. It is not even a good forgery. Since I've now warned you that this is a forgery, you would be misrepresenting the lot and be selling a forged document. And even though I am not a lawyer, I believe that knowingly sell a forged document is illegal. Any potential buyer would have justifiable cause against you.
I do not like to send a note like this but selling forged Stephen King books diminishes the value of SK collections. By the way, I can get another 20 serious collectors to confirm what I've just told you about the signature. I hope you do the right thing... Thank you.

If I didn't already have a copy, would've offered $4,000 with supporting public sales information from the last 5 years. $4,000 - $4,500 is a SOLID range for this book. Probably worth $5k by now.

I think he started at $10,900 and has dropped the price a few times now. This may be their version of a reverse auction. Start high and keep lowering the price until someone gets nervous that someone else might buy it and click buy it now. This might work out for them better than the make an offer. Either way it is interesting to watch.

That's what I'm thinking. Looks way too much like "King" and not enough like "Knig" for my taste. Especially for a early mid-nineties sig... just doesn't look right. A little herky-jerky in the swoop, too.
Not only is that signature bad but I would stay away from "russdj" altogether. He was a big but indiscriminate buyer on eBay 10 to 15 years ago. Bought damn near every signed King listing on eBay. Got some good ones but got stuck with a lot of forgeries in the process. He was the subject of many discussions back in the day. I think he probably still has many bad ones in his collection.
