Terrible fake in my opinion. With a Sharpie pen, it's difficult to tell, but I don't like this one at all.

I agree with John. The signature on The Tommyknockers is a forgery.
ok last one for now

"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
i just now saw how SK name was spelled
Even if it was legit, which it is not, why would anyone want a signature that has been crossed out?

I think it's a fake... but not because of the signature itself (I am not sure what to think of it), but because this ebay seller tried in november, to sell an awful signature that he pretended got it in the Paris event. With the exact same picture.
Now he sell another book with the same picture and he says that he got it signed at the event. BIG RED FLAG IMO.
Here are a couple of the sigs I got from november :
If BS, i would report them to ebay. again.

The signature looks ok to me. Not sure what to make of the rest of the story...
sk
looks good to me. Maybe he was trying to sell additional copies on the back of the one good one he has?

I've looked at quite a few of King's "8's" and I can't find any that look like snowmen. My opinion is stay away.
Stephen King's 'The Green Mile' HC, signed, 1st
Signature looks good to me for that period.
I have personally made a snowman "8" to correct a mistake I started to make, so I think King would probably do the same.

I do sometimes. It's a thankless job.
The seller is obviously lying about having it signed in person. That mean he doesn't give a shit. You won't get anywhere with him.
eBay certainly appears as though they don't care either. Their position is that the seller is responsible for the listing being accurate.
"One day you're going to figure out that everything they taught you was a lie."
There is one seller of fakes that was banned from eBay because of clear evidence of fraud. His seller name was Brennan something. The whole scenario played out earlier in this thread.
He may have faced legal action since he was also committing mail fraud by knowingly shipping fakes. Can't remember who got that process started.
