I had contacted that seller awhile back about the signatures. She told me she buys them from Half Price Books. Ha!

ebay. It is an endless parade of oddities.
Recently I lost my temper confronting 2 lousy lying AbeBooks. It (AbeBooks Italia) booksellers who described their books (NOT King’s) as “perfect” or “excelent” or “1st edition” and they were actually at the lowest grade I have ever seen in my life and a 3rd edition. Lying was their second profession.
I complained to AbeBooks Help Section and after a very short time I have been refunded with the full money and the books were left in my possession according to their decision as shipping back is beyond their cost. These lyers were punished above and beyond my vindicative expectations, which you would almost never see in eBay. In eBay you are generally advised to confront with the other side, trying to solve the problem alone. I emailed and called eBay for help so many times and eventually in vain, at least to my bad experience. I am fed up with eBay treatment to their clients. They are posing, pretending to solve the problem, resulting in a faint voice. Show me one person in eBay ( I would like to meet him) who has been refunded the way I had been by AbeBooks, and I have been refunded 3 (THREE) times like that before.
Try to buy books on AbeBooks, they are like a sure insurance company for your money, at least to my opinion.
Sounds like a very satisfactory resolution. Glad to hear it.

Hi Joe315
Where you had a good experience, in eBay or somewhere else? Am curious. Thanks.
eBay surprisingly. I think it was just the seller being a real nice person. There are plenty others who would have ignored me and I wouldn't have gotten anything back since eBay doesn't care. I think it's all about who you get. Some sellers care about their business and their customers, and others don't.
Yeh, you're right but even if the seller is ok, shipping him back the book from Israel (for you it's free) costs me a lot and he wouldn't take it into account as much as nice he's, so in this case I'm totally in loss, whilst at AbeBooks I get refunded AT ALL, sometimes WITH the book. Still a meaningful difference in favor of AbeBooks. eBay is a warfield of hunters vs. hunted, buyers are mostly hunted by the sellers, so we should be very very careful there, like asking many questions. And even this is not enough.
Abebooks is definitely better then eBay. And I've been hurt because I didn't ask questions.
You shouldn't be ashamed to ask questions and educate yourself to do so to get you in a better position vs. the seller. As I said, eBay is a warfield full of mines and hunters.
I must tell you a big irritating incident I had with an eBay seller from Italy. I emailed him about 5-6 questions to get him telling me the whole truth about the condition of a book I wanted very much. When I received the book it was with a noticeable flaw inside it. I "shouted" by emailing him my disgust of his knavery. You know what was his answer? His response was: "YOU DID NOT ASK ME ABOUT IT".
I wanted to kill him.
Even asking 100 questions wouldn't deliver you what you wish, but you should do it constantly to minimize losses.
Thanks Joe315.
This inscription and signature look weird. Almost dot matrix...
Stephen King SALEM'S LOT First UK British Edition signed dated & dedicated
Looks like the old mimeographs from grade school, although I have no idea how you would get a book in one.
Maybe a stamp.
Christine
If its legit, that seems an awfully low price so far.
I think the inscription/sig in the UK 'SALEM'S LOT is legit but that is one that I would really like to inspect first hand to be sure. I suppose the cheaper paper could have something to do with the ink acting the way it apparently did but I've not seen anything quite like that before.

What do you guys think about this sig?

It is good
I have one myself
Not often seen and signed in silver just like this one...
I've never been able to make up my mind definitely on that one way or the other. It has been listed on eBay countless times over the past year or so at much higher prices. I don't know if he has multiple copies or if he just keeps lowering the price.
I'm suspicious that it is not legit but I'm not 100% sure. I'd stay away from any signature done in sharpie.
Mike (Pasiuk57) is probably right.
I got mine from a guy at the event-I was told and have it framed but it does look exactly like that one shown here. I believe he signed 10 or so for Marvel to promote the new Gunslinger comics.
I can't remember what I paid for it however...I should take better notes!
