I really loved Mad Men for the first few seasons, then it just went downhill. I couldn't even finish watching last season.
So annoying. I'm glad you agree.
As I said, I still feel compelled to watch it since I've invested so much time in it up until now (although I completely missed last season and need to catch up). The last season that I did watch felt more like the first couple of seasons, where there was actually stuff going on in the characters' lives.
i was recently asked what do i think is the most realistic sci fi that has been on tv, in my opinion there's been three, the original Twilight Zone, Star Trek and Babylon 5
Realistic science fiction? Recently I'd say Orphan Black, The 100 and Ascension. All have hard SF elements but not impossible. Most of the story is based on human interaction. Is that what you mean by realistic?
Isn't "realistic Sci Fi" an oxymoron?
I don't think so. Look under 1984, Fahrenheit, Never Let Me Go.
"E.T. was a movie, this is real!" -- Alf
Mad men has the absolutely worst coming attraction I have ever seen. I seriously think they do their best to actually tell you nothing about the upcoming episode.
Next week….Pete says "how dare you", Joan says "that's interesting" and Roger says "I have bad news".
It is so annoying!

I don't know if any of you are watching The Jinx on HBO but if you are into "true crime" shows then you should check it out. It is absolutely fascinating to see our legal system fail so miserably and see the culprit of the crimes practically flaunt it in his interviews with the creator of this documentary. There are six parts and the fourth just aired Sunday. I believe you can watch entire episodes on thejinxhbo.com if you don't have HBO.
You can watch it other ways too, but I can't tell people how. If too many people know then the government will ruin it for me, just like they did in this true crime show. Thanks Rube for the mention of "Jinx" I sometimes like this type of show as long as it is short. I watched 4 episodes and I'm up to date. I have this to say:

You're welcome. Some people at work have been watching it as well and we have talked more about it than we have The Walking Dead. As for your spoiler, I don't know what we are going to find out in the last two episodes but the creators said that we will know what happened. I am not sure how they can promise that but we will see.

He seems to do that twitch all the time though... then again he is probably lying the entire time. It is actually more of a hard blink and paired with his almost black pupils it makes him look fairly sinister.
If you're not already watching Better Call Saul, then now is the time to start.
Fantastic episode last night. It is not required to watch Breaking Bad to enjoy Better Cal Saul.

I hope your right. I taped it and haven't had time to watch it yet. So far, I find it rather boring and dull and I've contemplated to stop watching it. I like his brother's mental state but other then him, every character has no life to me. A lot of nonsense dialogue, so I'm struggling with the show. I figured this was not going to be an established Saul, but as a viewer, I'm seeing a weak willed man. So I'm hoping he grows some balls soon and becomes who we knew he was in Breaking Bad.

Saul is all the character you need. He oozes it. Of course he is going to grow balls, the whole point of the show is watching him grow them and what made him get to that point.
I'm noticing a theme with stuff you don't like, you always say it's too slow. There are some great scenes of just dialogue on Better Call Saul. It's great character building and great story building. Just because there's nobody getting their brains eaten doesn't mean it's slow.

I'm not sure if anybody has heard about an app called Viggle, but it's great if you watch a lot of TV.
Basically, when you watch a show you "check in" on the app and earn points. Certain shows are worth more points, but it's usually a point for every minute. If you watch a show live, they sometimes have trivia where you can earn 100 points for each correct answer.
You can then use those points to rent movies and other things. My sister just used her points to rent Birdman. I'm at 13,000 points right now in just over a week. If you like to listen to music, you can earn points for each song. 100 points per song. It's really cool. Check it out.
