Actually, it's more about hating PB's for my own silly ass reasons. The only PB's in my collection are the DT UK firsts. They bug me to this day, but they complete "MY" DT US/UK, 1/1 collection.

In addition to the Perma-Bound there is also a Turtleback hardbound version of The Gunslinger. Noticeable differences but the same idea. Perma-bound on the left and Turtleback on the right.PERMA-BOUND THE DARK TOWER THE GUNSLINGER 1st EDITION.

I have a question... I have a remarque I love so much. I have not posted it yet and there is a reason. I will as always.. because a big part of this site is sharing. My question is: Since I love this art so much, and it is in a book always closed... would you remove the page (yes the book is ruined) and frame it so you can see it every time you go into your King library? Is this wrong? I keep wanting to... I thought I would ask opinions and see what the thoughts are.

You could use a handheld scanner to scan the image, and then just print out a copy on a nice color printer. This way you can have a copy to display and still keep the book intact.
I have done this for several of my favorite remarques.
I thought of that. I have a high end print shop that can do that... but the art bug in me... just says that is wrong too. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Not a cheap option, but just thinking about the page being cut out is crushing my soul. LOL
I don't think it's wrong....you arent trying to make copies to sell.
My opinion...scan it, frame it, enjoy it.....just don't sell it. This way your book is still intact and you get the pleasure of seeing the added value drawing framed.

This is my issue with remarques. You pay for them, get a beautiful piece of art, and they sit hidden. I'm thinking either the option of having the artist recreate it for you as a print or have a high-res copy made would be best. Please don't kill your book!!!!!!!!!!!
I seem to recall seeing clear acrylic stands with built in page holders that can display the book on a shelf opened to the remarque. I believe I saw one in RF's collection thread.
