What's the best way to get in contact with grant books? I need to register that I am the new owner of 464 WTTKH
I wouldn't bother with that now. You can wait for an announcement of a new DT S/L that carries with it number rights. Then you e-mail them a photo of the limitation page of TWTTK. That's what I did when taking over a new number and it worked out for me.
God knows. I'm still waiting on a reply to a query I had about buying something off their site over 12 months ago. I think the best way to contact them is to camp outside the office door, tackle any worker you can find when they show up for work, and make them listen and respond to your query. Otherwise you may could have just as much luck sending out blind carrier pigeons...What's the best way to get in contact with grant books? I need to register that I am the new owner of 464 WTTKH
Just from my experience of course.
Oh, I hope my poor attempt at homor is observed and I don't get scolded for bashing publishers online.

Quite true .. Grant is not likely to have interest in updating who owns what until the time they have something new to release.
They understand that there can be sales and resales continually.
As much as you would like them to know and contact you when the next book is available, the best thing to do is get on their email and or mailing list
and of course keep an eye here as anything happening will come up here with everything and anything you would need to to at the appropriate time.

Last time I was in the area of Grant I did drop by.
Unless things have changed, you may find Robert is the only worker there.
Robert was not overly comfortable with someone just dropping in and it took a while plus some extensive conversation for him to relax enough to consider the questions I was asking.
After a considerable amount of time he did try to help me and in fact got very quiet and intense in the search for what I asked about.
By the time I was about to leave he was actually somewhat cordial and when he noticed my wife had been waiting in the car asked why I had not brought her in.
He came across extremely intelligent yet somewhat awkward socially. I did however enjoy conversing with him and the visit quite a bit.
This was the first and only time I met him so do not base too much on my assessment. and perhaps I share more than I should.
Did Robert find what you asked him to look for?
You are correct. He is weird and off some how. After I got my first DT matching number set I wanted to see if there was a chance at the first couple and emailed and emailed... then started calling on a daily basis till I got someone. I finally got this guy on the phone. He seemed too busy to talk and really could care less about who I was or what I wanted. I felt that a shame especially after dealing with people like Brian or Mindy. I worry that if and when a new DT novel got released how he would be able to handle it... he did not want to talk for very long and cut me off in the middle of one of my questions and says "are you done? I have places to be."!! Strange guy. I hear Karen that used to be there was the best though...

I think you just have to catch him at the right time. I have been dealing with Grant for nearly 30 years. When Robert is in the mood to talk he will spend as long as you like on the phone. Other times he is just as you described. I have had both types of phone conversations with him. I have been pissed off/frustrated quite a few times. Other times I got exactly the information I was wanting. Who knows?
ok great!, lets get this rolling. I have just started accumulating some of these and went looking for more info that currently is missing.
RF, I want to be absolutely clear on what you want created here. You say 'a separate section'. The only option I seem to have is 'Create a new Thread'. Should I do this at the Level of Calvin's Corner or does this need to be done with admin privs to be a 'new section'. I don't want to create a spurious thread incorrectly.
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
It will be a separate section in the wiki that I will create.
Right now there are 7 sections: http://www.thedarktower.org/palaver/showwiki.php
When created, there would be 8 sections.
It might look similar to this:

What would you like the title to be?
Just wanted to comment that I bought justin brooks latest bibliography of king and it is an invaluable resource!
I was perusing Betts Books, and saw a paperback edition of The House Next Door for sale. I was looking through the catalog here about that book, and there was discussion on the number of copies available. Is this a worthwhile purchase, especially in paperback without a slipcase? RF even referred to it as a 'clusterf#ck'. What's the real story with this book?

I like the former title better. Not all the books about King are collectible.
