anybody have or know about the 5 unnumbered publisher's copies? i'd be interested to know, if they were signed (and by who).

Justin, there are pics in my collection thread if you would like to see one. There are only a few but you get the idea....
The 5 Deluxe Publisher copies are the exact same as the Roman Numbered Deluxe Red and Black with the exception that they are not numbered. They are signed by King and Jerry Uelsmann and are of the same construction and material spec.....
See below for a breakdown (courtesy of an extended conversation in the "Current Market Value Thread")....
600 unsigned copies, not numbered
300 limited edition copies numbered 1-300 in black signed by King and Uelsmann
80 limited edition copies numbered 1-80 in red signed by King and Uelsmann
15 deluxe leather copies numbered I-XV in black signed by King and Uelsmann
10 deluxe leather copies numbered I-X in red signed by King and Uelsmann
5 deluxe publisher copies not numbered signed by King and Uelsmann
There is also 2 "special bound" copies that Michaël brought to our attention up-thread that was sold at Heritage a couple years back.
There are also 10 (approximate) copies of a bound "Stephen King Interviews" which is a compilation of discussions with King about 'Salem's. It is bound in the same Japanese Cloth Material as the Limited and comes with a matching slipcase.
BEN MEARS has been an excellent source on this subject and and confirm or deny any of the above....

Thanks, Tim. In addition to the states you mention there are also the two 'Special Bound' copies, signed by King and the people responsible for the production of the book. I mentioned that particular state a couple of posts 'upthread'. I haven't heard of any other editions but that's why I asked (I am by no means an expert on S/L editions).
There are also the 24 copies that Stu Tinker at Betts had specially bound (12 in half black leather and 12 in half burgundy leather) plus Stu's prototype bound in half leather by Gray Parrot.
WOW! Anybody have pics of that one? Are they signed by King?
C'mon Bob, show us!
They aren't signed by King. Stu bought unbound text blocks from Jerad, had them specially bound and sold them. I think I have pics on my computer.
The prototype bound by L. Gray Parrot of Maine (he also bound the lettered edition of Beahm's THE STEPHEN KING COMPANION which is one of the most beautiful books in my collection). I'm not sure what Stu spent on this but he thought it was too expensive for him to turn a profit on the other 24 so he went with another binder. I like this one a lot.
So Stu ended up going with these which, I think, are still pretty nice. 12 of each color.
Those are very nice! I love the look of leather bound books!
Did those have the same content (pictures etc)as the signed limiteds from Centipede?
Thanks! Second question. How much do you think is a fair price for one if I wanted to purchase one?
There´s a copy of the red one at Betts for $225 now
That's the one I was looking at. I have no idea if that's a fair price or if it's worth spending on something like this.
The unsigned 600 copy edition went for $125 when published and probably sells somewhere in the $150 range. The Betts edition likely has better binding material and has the limited edition Mohawk Superfine paper which is much higher quality so it is pricied fairly. If there was a black one available I would consider getting it.
If I had some money to spare I would have bought it already. I think it's a good price.
Thanks guys
What, if any, are the glaring differences between the Easton Press edition of TDZ other than the obvious dates? Just curious, won't affect things one way or the other. Is there a substantial value issue?

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
As far as I know Bill, it's the gold title on the spine. The original printing has the title enclosed in a gold square whereas the later printing has gold lines above and below the title.
Errrrrrr I think so any way!
Not much difference, but thanks, Alan!!!
