congrats
Still need The Gunslinger S/L, but after seven years in the making, this set is almost complete.
Each of these Signed Limited editions is #196
Man that is awesome Patrick. How did you go about tracking them down? One at a time or in bunches? Do you think anyone in here will have an extra of Wind Through the Keyhole to sell?
Thanks, Karl. I am irrationally happy.
When it comes out I mean

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
Thanks, Bill.
Thank you, mistercrowley.
Since you asked:
Nov. 2004: DT II, III, IV - Barry R. Levin Science Fiction & Fantasy. I heard about the whole S/L concept at the old TDT.net forums and decided to look into purchasing some. I saw these on ABE listed separately, called up Barry, and worked out a discounted "volume discount" deal.
June 2011: LSOE, LSOE AE - John Hanic. He bought them on eBay in order to secure the right to purchase TWITKH. I bought another set specifically to trade with John, so he could still get TWITKH.
Oct 2011: I can't attend the King reception and signing at Fall of the Books back East, so Ralph Mulleins takes my 1st/1st of The Gunslinger (not pictured above) to the signing.
Nov 2011: DTIV UK (not really necessary for a complete set) - In January 2011 I just missed this at Betts - saw one of those SOLD signs that David puts out before removing items from the site. I contacted David, but it was too late. He had just shipped it out to a buyer in Australia. Flash forward ten months: Recently while perusing the forum over at CD, I ran across a photo of the book in someone's collection thread. I contacted the owner and we worked a straight across trade. He's not a member here at TDT, but thanks, Grant!
Dec 2011: DT V, VI, VII: Simon had recently purchased these at a Heritage auction I missed. He posted here at TDT looking for the others. We worked out a sale/purchase.
Here is the set again, including my signed (but not S/L) 1st/1st edition of DTI:
This set is especially meaningful to me because of all the collector friends that have assisted with trades or sales to help me put this together.
Bravo!! Patrick!!! Now THAT is a dedicated Collector!!! Color me duly impressed!!!

Congratulations, Patrick! I'm glad I could help in a small way!

Congratulations Patrick. Awesome achievement. You'll get that Gunslinger #196 one day too.
Congrats Patrick....VERY nice
Great story, Patrick. Congrats.
Thanks, guys. I love this site, and this forum, because I know you're the only ones who truly understand!
To Alan's comment, if anyone hears rumor of the whereabouts of THE GUNSLINGER #196, please let me know.
Very nice. I wish my pictures came out that clearly. I think I need more light. And darn it, now you've made me want to go after that UK WIZARD & GLASS, but I'd never find a 158.

Thanks. I turned on a lot of lights, then turned off the flash. I'm still experimenting with that concept, I don't have one of those shadowboxes that our better resident photographers use.
As far as the UK W&G, you never know when your number might show up. Personally I was not actively looking.
anyone know if dt Signed lim 4-7 are out there intact? for number 374.... I have 1-3 and would trade for # 373 which I own 3-7
Hey karen, anybody lay dibs on lsoe #374?
How true how true! I had a full #64 set except Gunslinger and had decided I'd never find it - the only one in the world and the world's a big place. Lo and behold, a new member in the UK posted here in this very thread that he had it. Well, needless to say I got in touch! We emailed back and forth - made the deal and were trying to decide the best way to ship this one-of-a-kind without me having to mortage my house. About a year after his post, he was visiting the states and I took a day to fly from IL to FL and back just to meet up with he and his wife at the airport - oh, and to buy my #64 from him, of course! Very nice couple celebrating their anniversary. He doesn't post much, but I'll never forget him. This site rules!! So don't give up - you may come accross that W&G 158 when you least expect it!
This collecting stuff is a sickness! ~Patrick
And it was a VERY long day, Juliana! Left here on a 6:30 am flight to Memphis, then to Atlanta, then to Sarasota. Had a 3 hour layover then flew home via Atlanta, getting home around midnight. My friends and family thought I was nuts (and still do, kinda), but it was cheaper than shipping from the UK and didn't have to worry about it being lost!

Stephen King fans and collectors are very dedicated people who go to great lengths sometimes to find a particular book or item. The fun is sometimes in the quest and sometimes in the finding, but most of the time in both.
