My wife and I are planning on being there as well. I've never been to a SK event or met anyone from this site, so I'm looking forward to this!
By the way, any thoughts on dress code? Since this is an awards ceremony, I was thinking of chinos/dockers with shirt and tie. Not sure what other folks are planning or what is typical for these sorts of award events.
I (for several reasons) am going casual. No tie at all. For the signing, King will probably be in jeans and a T-shirt.
I plan on wearing my Dark Tower.org shirt.
My wife and I will be business casual. No tie for me.
Ralph
OK, that sounds reasonable. I had my "DC mindset" I guess. I can hang with business casual. Heck, I can even wear my new Dark Tower.org T-shirt at the bar and then throw on a button down over it for the ceremony.
(I don't know why I'm thinkng so hard about this. Just don't want to faux pas my first SK event!)

I am working a shorter shift tonight (midnight to 7am, instead of 10am). I hope to leave by 8:00 or 8:30. It is a 6 hour drive from Connecticut. I will text Jerome when I arrive and if he is available will hangout with him. I wish I had gotten a Betts Books sweatshirt or something made. There are at least 25-30 customers (many of them are you here on this site) that will be there. I want to meet you all!!! I'll try to identify myself in some way.
Dragline : Nothin'. A handful of nothin'. You stupid mullet head. He beat you with nothin'. Just like today when he kept comin' back at me - with nothin'.
Luke : Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
From SKMB:
Stephen will be the Guest of Honor at the Savannah (GA) Book Festival on February 19, 2012. This will be a ticketed event. There will also be a two hour book signing--details for securing attendance to be announced at a later time.
For more information, please visit their site at http://www.savannahbookfestival.org.
I thought you look look just like you avatar picture of Pere Callahan?
(I suppose not all of your customers hang out here, though...)
Here is a pic (I look drugged?) for people to reference. I got the gotee thing going these days...first time with facial hair in my life!

Wanted list:
Ubris
New Orleans signing details
I'll be extremely disappointed if the signed books are randomly distributed at the Boston event as well.
WOW......
WTF? Was there a "set" # of tickets being sold? I didn't see that mentioned at first glance.
I don't understand that one at all......
Signed books will be "blended in". How quaint.
