I've always liked people named Emily so a third Emily in your life might be good for you.
And if I'm holding a gun...I get a little sticky lol!

lol, Thanks for bumping this thread, Leah, I'd forgotten all about it.
oh, and Welcome to the site.
JB, at your service.
"So many vows. They make you swear and swear. Defend the King, obey the King, obey your father, protect the innocent, defend the weak. But what if your father despises the King? What if the King massacres the innocent? It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or another."
I am afraid I totally lost the point of this thread. What is it about again?
Ask not what bears can do for you, but what you can do for bears. (razz)
When one is in agreement with bears one is always correct. (mae)
bears are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was just for fun, 15 random questions to answer. I'll collate them all after work and repost them all in the first post so people can copy and paste more easily
yes, thank you!

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
1.) Do you know how/why your parents picked your name?
I'm a III, so yeah, pretty obvious.
2.) Do you have any article of clothing that has a lot of memories attached to it?
Nah. I used to have a "lucky poker shirt" but it was more of a joke. Very loud Hawaiin shirt I'd wear. I no longer have it.
3.) When you’ve had a terrible day, how do you deal with it?
I don't hardly ever have "terrible days." I'm pretty low key and even if I have a stressful work day or get in a fight with my wife, I typically just turn on a ball game. Of course, I do that on my good days as well.
4.) How are you similar to and different from the majority of TDT.com members?
Similar: love good books and all things King
Different: I'm not real chatty (I hardly ever leave the collection threads of Calvin's corner). Heavily into sports (watching; betting). Don't Facebook; don't WOW; have never in my life sent or received a text message.
5.) What are some little things that make you feel warm and fuzzy?
Bourbon; watching a good Korean romance movie or TV series; my college team (LSU) wins; reading a good short story; Brewster Rockitt, Space Guy!
6.) What would your dream house/apartment/castle/tree house/loft/bungalow/etc. look like?
Some sort of beach house away from the crowd.
7.) What are some of your pet peeves?
1. Public use of cell phone
2. idiot drivers (many of whom are on a cell phone)
3. disorganization and people who are too lazy to put something back where they found it
4. the unyielding intrusion of advertising into our daily lives (a web page takes 5 minutes to load b/c of the ads; I click on a You Tube video which then has ads floating all over it; I'm watching TV and an animated ad comes scrolling across the bottom of the show, ETC.)
8.) Who makes your happier than anyone else?
This may sound funny, but me.
9.) What was the worst thing to happen to you in middle school?
Hmmm, I didn't have too much middle school trauma. Maybe just having crushes on girls so bad and didn't seem to get the return attention like some of the other boys. (I may edit something else in here later if I recall something traumatic).
10.) What movie or book reminds you most of your childhood?
Beverly Cleary books. I think I read all of them, and the suburban white-bread setting was exactly my growing-up.
11.) What is the community you live in like?
Largish outer suburb of Washington, DC. Lots of shopping centers; big box stores; sprawl. I love it!
13.) What's your favorite season and why?
Fall. not too hot, not too cold.
14.) Is there a band that you have loved for a long time? How long and why?
Not bands per se, but I'm going to go with Camille Saint-Saens and Bach. And Beethoven because of the 9th and the Moonight Sonata.
