This is fun guys, I could do it for a long time, but I fear we are excluding many folks. I absolutely HATE when a group or clique dominates a given thread. It seems elitist, unfriendly and rude. I also love the diversity in this thread. I submit to you all that it is lost during such a "throw down."

I think that went rather well. Better than expected actually.
I do recognize the concern about excluding people.
I think that there are several bands that could lend themselves to an occasional throwdown. Many that would work even better than Metallica.
Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, etc.
I'll leave it to Bill to start the next one if he thinks it appropriate.

I appreciate your thoughts and consideration. I'm not upset at all, I just don't know the band. Perhaps, we can add a new wrinkle and designate "Throwdowns" after every 25 posts. So, a new band is named, 25 posts later we go to a new one. We could alternate between "Classic" rock acts and more contemporary, does that sound like a good solution? Yeah...I have no problem with a throw down...not at all...it was fun! But it has a limited time and I felt some folks got left behind and that should only go on for so long.
I welcome future throw downs as long as the are not for obscure bands like the Anal Blood Farts or some such.
