I guess I'm just really bad at the internet. Does anyone know where I can get the leaked trailer now that it's been removed from most of the news sites? I haven't been able to locate it anywhere. PM me a link if possible.
Yes

Looks like there are some copies still floating around here and there. Here's one without sound:
I'm sure it'll be gone soon, too.
Rewatching the trailer, one thing I hope Arcel and Elba nailed down properly is the finesse of Roland's gun slinging.
In The Gunslinger King describes Roland as "moving his body gracefully, like a dancer". I like the contrast of Roland's balletic movement against his brutal, violent nature.
This one (with sound) also still works...as of now anyway....

It's looking to be a hot mess.
Touchscreen to go through a door....
Nothing temperature related or having to do with thermal equilibrium.
"Hot mess" : a person or thing that is spectacularly unsuccessful or disordered

Still no official trailer, am I right?

Though it was a bit delayed, SombraGroup.com is now up and running.

Thanks for the links, I was finally able to find a copy of the trailer I could download. It's pretty rough, but I can see some cool stuff in there - I think this movie might do better than some people think. When the final version comes out, it'll be interesting to see what DT virgin's opinions are.

I think they'll show something at EW's thing. Merlin had a link to a countdown clock too, I think.
If the trailer IS December that is ominous. When has a trailer come out for a movie 2 months before it's premier and has been good?
The Cell trailer came out in April and it premiered in June....so that might be some foreshadowing.
Usually they hype movies for 14 months before a movie actually comes out. We've seen nothing 4 months away, they shot the movie in what? 6 weeks? Seems like they made something so they wouldn't lose the rights and are hoping for the best.
We've seen basically an entire issue of EW devoted to coverage and multiple viral marketing sites up for months now. How are they not hyping this?Usually they hype movies for 14 months before a movie actually comes out. We've seen nothing 4 months away, they shot the movie in what? 6 weeks? You could see a trailer during the coming "Dr. Strange" release.

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
They certainly will have trailers, but perhaps they didn't want to begin them until they were at the point that they were going to advertise continuously anyway (close to the release).
I imagine it's easier to sustain a year-long campaign for material already familiar to the audience - you can run a 15-second "trailer" featuring nothing but the sound of a harsh wind, the silhouette of a bat, and the words SUMMER 2019, and everyone will go berzerk and keep talking until the premier, but for DT, they'll need to work to get and maintain the attention they get.
Sure, people know SK, but it's not the same, especially since one of this advertising campaign's goals will be to correct the average moviegoer's expectation of what a Stephen King movie is (that DT isn't 90 minutes of spooky deaths or a Maine-based feel-good nostalgia trip etc.).
Eastasia has always taught college students to feel pride or shame according to their race.
I'm actually hoping this gets pushed back to a May release. I agree we should have already had a teaser and some posters. A series of posters with iconic imagery like a rose, a key, the tower. Phrases like "There are other worlds than these."
The scene when Jake comes through, escaping the gatekeeper is one of the series' best. To scale it down to pushing a button and jumping through a door is a massive disappointment.
I hope we see Jake die multiple times so when Eddie shows up we can get the proper scenario.
I think this will do big numbers. When you add in SK fans, genre fans and comic book fans. How can you go wrong? There should definitely be a 2nd film.
"Dr. Strange" & "Westworld" should help this film out a lot. Both are in the same vein. BTW anyone notice the distinct TDT feel to WW?

These are all excellent points.
Yup, this is probably my only disappointment from the trailer. I can understand why they did it the way they did, but I really wanted to see the Dutch Hill monster.
Yes. I love the entire aesthetic of Westworld, so I'd be perfectly fine with TDT echoing that.
Honesty they need to market the film with the First line of the book. It should be on the posters and in the trailers. It's King best opening line. Why not use it to sell the Film? "The Man in Black fled across the desert, and the Gunslinger followed" I think it will make people interested. Much like it hooked us tower junkies when we read it
