Is it really so important, the color of the eyes?
Well if you'll look at Star Trek, they made the mistake of not making the dear doctor's eyes blue in the new movie, but instead having Kirk's eyes blue. A small issue but one that still bothers me.

I agree. If King hadn't put especial emphasis on Roland's eyes then maybe my answer would be 'no'. As I said, from an acting point of view, I think Javier Bardem can pull it off, (and I think his knowledge of English is fluent enough for Roland) and maybe they will give him contacts or colour his eyes in post production. To be fair, it won't stop me watching it if he retains his natural colour, so in that sense they're not thatimportant, but it would be a shame.
I think Bardem's face looks rather fleshy when I think of Roland (I associate him as craggy) but it certainly has the right lived in properties.
Anyway, overall, I think things are looking good.
Contacts. people, contacts. This is Hollywood we're talking about here. Better to focus in on whether the actor has the "chops" than his "looks". Appearance is easily altered in La-La-Land

The Houston Astros cheated Major League Baseball from 2017-18!!!! Is that how we teach our kids to play the game now?????
Is this true?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1648190/fullcredits#cast
Norman Reedus ... Eddie Dean
Michael Biehn ... Man In Black
Nick Mancuso ... Enrico Balazar
I can't find any news about them. I'm not familiar with these actors, but Norman Reedus looks the part.
I don't know how legit this is, but Michael Biehn is a good actor, I think he could be great as the Man in Black. He was scary in The Abyss.
If you click on each actor's pic and scroll down it says that the casting has been announced. Good choices, all IMHO!!!!
Eddie is a Boondock Saint!!!!!!!!! Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I saw that movie last night.
So the main hero from Terminator and Aliens (who ironically played a secondary role to the main heroine in both parts) is going to be one of the main bad guys in this movie series. Interesting. I found myself wondering what had happened to him recently because I haven't seen a new movie with him in awhile.
Also, the guy from Boondock Saints seems a good choice for Eddie. I only worry he might be a little old for the part.

When one is in agreement with bears one is always correct. (mae)
bears are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reedus would be a perfect Eddie ... if he was ten years younger.
Biehn is a decent actor but he doesn't possess that sinister edge and aura of insidiousness that I associate with the man in black. Gary Oldman would be a perfect fit.
Did you see Biehn in The Abyss? Terrifying.
I have, I actually own the DVD but it's been years since I've seen it. I'll watch it again soon and see if my opinion of him changes.
Reedus is 42 years old... Eddie was 21 (half his age!) when hi was drawn...
I had a bit of doubt when I saw his name, but that's mainly because the younger face of Carl Reece and Hicks sprang to mind.
Looking at this picture on wikipedia though:
... I'd say he could fit the role very well. Walter and/or Marten incarnations anyway.
And yeah, I haven't seen him in a whole lot of things but I think he's got the acting chops for it.

A bit of info
http://www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/cind...FEinz9XJcQEgdOStephen King's "The Dark Tower" with Javier Bardem prepping in Astoria. Ron Howard directs
Norman Reedus would be a fine choice for Eddie; I think he looks very close to how we collectively imagine the character, though I can't speak for his acting ability as I haven't seen many of his films. Michael Biehn is a great actor, and I actually thought he was suitably intimidating and intense in The Terminator; he'll make a fine Walter if he can pull off the 'dark hilarity' which lies at the core of his personality and demeanour. I'm not familiar with Nick Mancuso, but he does look the part, and Balazar's only a minor character after all.
We should take this 'news' with a hefty pinch of salt; IMDb is maintained by its users, so inaccuracies or outright fabrications often make their way in – especially when it comes to enormous productions like this one. I really hope it's true but I wouldn't count on it.
I always pictured Norman Reedus as Eddie, but I think he's aged too much now.
Then again, there's always make-up.
Edit:
Now that I really think about it happening....Norman Reedus as Eddie?!
