John Farson is a fictional character of the author Stephen King, acting in books and comics Dark Tower. Known as the "Good Man", Farson through the words of "democracy and equality for all" wants to be the ruler of Mid-World and In-World.

John Farson began as a simple thug, attacked coach, but the moment he became a general, which became an ambitious revolutionary who wants to destroy the gunslingers and the Affiliation. Won the magic glass ball "Grapefruit", thereby constantly not defeated and escaped gunslingers, found the weapons of war through the Old People and also a way to dilute the oil enough to be useful. Also, in a moment joined the Red king, who sent the Farson man named Walter o'Dim as a consultant.
Finally Farson destroyed most of the estate, joined him General Grissom and his barbarians, and attacked the very Gilead. With weapons of the Old people and the huge number of men and destroyed mutants Gilead and most gunslingers, except for Roland and his ka-tet, which escaped. One of the Roland community, Randolph, betrayed his comrades and answered before the actual Farson, just before the final battle at Jericho Hill, where the tail-end gunslingers.

It is described as extremely sadistic, bloodthirsty, fickle and dangerously insane. But it is also intelligent, persuasive and manipulative, though sometimes he has in his plans to help his chieftains and Walter o'Dim.
