Wow, I don't remember learning any of that in the books, or the comics.

Thats because you haven't read The Gunslinger's Guidebook yet... HINT HINT
"It's his eyes, Roland thought. They were wide and terrible, the eyes of a dragon in human form" - Roland seeing the Crimson King for the first time.
"When the King comes and the Tower falls, sai, all such pretty things as yours will be broken. Then there will be darkness and nothing but the howl of Discordia and the cries of the can toi" - From Song of Susannah
Yeah, there is a TON of stuff in there that's not in the books - a lot of good background, fill-in-the-blanks kind of stuff. I'm finding that thing really interesting.
"People, especially children, aren't measured by their IQ. What's important about them is whether they're good or bad, and these children are bad." ~ Alan Bernard
"You needn't die happy when your day comes, but you must die satisfied, for you have lived your life from beginning to end and ka is always served." ~ Roland Deschain
Hmm, I know I need to get the Guidebook.
So BACK the F*CK off me!
Anyway, sometimes I don't know about the expansion of the mythos from sources that ARE NOT Stephen King. I know he has input but seriously, did he care enough about Aileen Ritter to write all of that about her? Doubt it.
It's a good entry though Daggers.
Well, you know, quite honestly, I struggled with that. But thanks for the kudos.
However, King gave his blessing to the comic series, and set them on the path. So IMHO, I would say it's canon at this point.
There is a LOT of fill-in info, and I was worried about including that, but since Sai King set Furth, et. al. on this path, I figure it's fair game.
And, a lot of it is seriously interesting. Really, what was Aileen before the comics? Just a passing reference. Now, at least, she has motive and personality.
You should really read the guidebook, Monte. I think you'd like it.

I agree we have to accept the good and the bad additions to the cannon, I really do. Aileen still is lame though.
You're all doing some good work with these entries.
I know. I flipped to that page and I was all "who got bored enough to write about this chick?"

I would say that there is a very good chance she will be a character in the comics to come, ergo the reason that writing about her is relevant.
Good job, Daghain.
Heng Dai
Thanks!
I think it might be kind of interesting to see what, if anything, they do with her character.
