If I may please ask what would the ISBN # be for the 1st edition of the paperback? Thank you.

The ISBN on mine is 0-451-16951-4, it is a 28th printing but it should be the same ISBN as a first printing. It was purchased in 89-90 so it shouldn't be a reprint by then.

Revisiting IT, US First Edition.
A funny thing came up as I was dealing with multiple versions of the September 1986 First Edition release. I began looking at a stated "Fourth Printing, September 1986" right below the number line, whereas the true US first edition doesn't have anything stated below the number line. And then, due to a random snatch at a local thrift store, I got my hands on another Hardcover edition of IT, this time stating "Second Printing, August 1986", approximately a month before the book was first published. From the research I've done, there are approximately five versions of this, from "First Printing, August 1986" through "Fifth Printing, September 1986". The actual publish date is September 15, 1986.
Given my particular copy has a "Second Printing, August 1986", which contradicts the book's release, I'm thinking these books that have that stated are actually Printings Before Publication. Has anyone else been monitoring this?
Not really. My 1st doesn't mention August.
The ISBN number on the 1st US paperback printing of IT is ISBN 0-451-14951-3.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
This is the TRUE 1st EDITION of IT (I bought this over sized paperback book in a German book store in JULY 1986.)
So this was released 30 years ago now !
