This is collectable?
It's posted in the section regarding Stephen King First Edition books, both USA and UK published. All USA and UK King trade first editions are collectible. Some are more (1st 'Salem's Lot, 1st Gunslinger) than others.
Not intentionally trying to be obtuse here but on my screen, it is in the "Stephen King Collectable Items" section, not the "Stephen King First Edition" section. I cannot find "Holly" in the First Editions section.
...oh well...
At the top of your screen, just under the dt.org logo should be a bar that lists numerous things. Among them is " King Trade 1st Editions"
I believe what ICry4Oy was saying is that, unlike the other first editions, Holly was placed categorically in the collectible items section of the forum instead of the first edition section like the other firsts.
Calvin's Corner -> Stephen King Collectible Items -> Holly
instead of
Calvin's Corner -> Stephen King First Editions -> Holly
It looks like Fairy Tale was also put in the Collectible Items section as well. Although I suppose it doesn't really matter too much as the links from the aforementioned list still lead here.
Holly and Fairy Tale were incorrectly placed. I have moved them to the First Edition section
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King
Thanks Stroppy!
Is the fact that the US edition dust jacket glows in the Dark worth noting anywhere? I wonder if later printings will keep this feature, or if it will be limited to first editions?
There is also a US edition for international distribution. Book is exactly the same (same ISBN too), but the dusk jacket is not. Differences: ISBN 978-1-6680-3449-1, U.S. $24.00 price, Scribner International on the spine, "for international sale only- on the back, and, as far as I can tell, not glow in the dark.
