Thanks, guys!
You don't know my kind.....You don't my mind.....Dark necessities are part of my design.....
To those that own a 1st edition of this book...
The catalog entry states "First published in Great Britain, 1993" My copy states this but also states "Hodder & Stoughton Export Edition 1993" so I guess its an export edition ....
...However I have just found a replacement copy that is not a BCA, is identical to the copyright page as mine, but without the "export edition" line, and very clearly states "First published in Great Britain 1992"
NB Both StephenKingCollector.com and the official stephenkingbooks.co.uk both list this as published in 1993...
Does everyone else concur with 1992 as being correct? If so I will amend the catalog accordingly.
"A real limited edition, far from being an expensive autograph stapled to a novel, is a treasure. And like all treasures do, it transforms the responsible owner into a caretaker, and being a caretaker of something as fragile and easily destroyed as ideas and images is not a bad thing but a good one...and so is the re-evaluation of what books are and what they do that necessarily follows." - Stephen King

I have the same Export Edition.
However, the proof states only 'First published in Great Britain 1992'
I would say 1992 is correct and now I need the non-export edition hardcover.
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
My replacement copy has arrived and having confirmed its not a BCA or an export, I have amended the Catalog entry accordingly (and added the CP image)

Remember that the first printing of the UK Rose Madder was by BCA in 1992. The Hodder edition might have been published in 1993.
