Honestly copyright issues never occurred to me. This thing looks exactly as you'd expect a 13 year old in the 60s to type up. Anyway, obviously we don't want to break any copyright laws so this will be on hold for now. I was just thinking how cool it would be to get King's permission to print it here for the King community ... maybe even a single signed hard copy as a fundraiser for the Haven Fund. Seriously, how cool would that be.

Steve still owns his copy, so if he wanted to publish it, he would do it.
I wouldnt recommend anyone to contact his office about it, as I thought that there were only 2 known copies : Steve's own personal copy and this photocopy that he sent to this person. So it would probably come as an unhappy surprise to him that somehow it leaked...

Then again, I could point him in the direction of where I acquired this copy. Seller states, "The second copy was owned by the late Charlie Fried was known as the stephen king super collector. This copy (also a xerox) is not signed and was has been folden 4 ways. It was recently discovered in a lot of items that were sold through a stephen king bookstore in bangor, maine about 10 years ago. There were so many items and this piece so obscure that it was actually tucked underneath a screenplay piece."

I can understand why King wouldn't want this released (definitely not his best work), and like you said if he hasn't released it himself he probably would be unhappy to find that it was leaked. The seller I bought it from is making photocopies and selling them. Since they are (technically) copyrighted material, I believe King might be interested in doing something about it. At the very least, making contact and saying "Please stop selling my copyrighted material ... or else".
