When alphabetizing the ToC, the titles that begin with 'The' should not fall within the 'T' spot. As an example:

Ballad of the Flexible Bullet, The (so it would fall under the 'B' spot not the 'T' spot.

Same thing for titles that start with 'A.'

    Good Marriage, A

Also, poems should be listed with the fiction.

Excerpts should be listed under their title name for example:

    Under The Dome (Excerpt)

Same thing with Afterwords, Introductions and Notes:

    Different Seasons (Afterword)

    Nightmares & Dreamscapes (Introduction)

    Skeleton Crew (Notes)

    Good points-particularly about "The".
I disagree about the 'A'. By that way of categorizing should "I am the doorway" be "am the doorway, I"?

Thanks sky. I normally organize things library style (No, "I" stays up front, lol), but I hate the way some of the titles look. So, in my lists I keep it like this. But I will switch things over. I'll do it now, actually. The thing with the intros and afterwords is that that is the title of the short work.

    "Introduction"

But you can't have twenty-seven different works titled "Introduction" and know which one is which, so I make the official name "Introduction (Skeleton Crew)"

Fiction and nonfiction describe prose. Poetry is poetry, and since there are only a few poems by him and I didn't want to give them their own section, I stuck them in with nonfiction.

Interesting. I have poetry shelved as fiction, not that it is really a big deal.

I'll switch it over when I get home from work. Ultimately, I want the section to be how you guys would want it, so it doesn't really matter to me. I am but a humble servant, lol. :)

Will it work, though? Changing entry titles, I mean - or are you just going to change the Table of Contents titles? Because I think changing the entry titles is a PITA with all kinds of consequences (even though it should be a simple process).

Me too. Poetry is no different from any other fiction.

I can see your point about the names of the works being called Introduction, etc...

The poems, after doing a little more research, seem to fall into a category of their own and should probably be by themselves. There are 15 poems so it's not that small of a section.

I'm just changing the table of contents. That's really the only page that people should start at when looking in the Short Works section, you know? There's no need to see the Wiki main page, sort through all that. For example, when I look for something in the main catalog, I don't go into the Catalog's Wiki section, I use Crow-Man's table of contents / quick index page.

Poetry and lyrics can be both fiction and nonfiction, and when you're talking about fiction and nonfiction, most of the time you're talking about prose. So, I would think they would go in their own section. I will do a poetry subsection and a miscellaneous section for all the recipes, puzzles, etc.

    Thanks guys!
