Great idea crediting the artwork..when I saw that I practically slapped my forehead thinking "Why didn't I think of doing that?" especially considering I posted the artwork in the first place.

"It's his eyes, Roland thought. They were wide and terrible, the eyes of a dragon in human form" - Roland seeing the Crimson King for the first time.
"When the King comes and the Tower falls, sai, all such pretty things as yours will be broken. Then there will be darkness and nothing but the howl of Discordia and the cries of the can toi" - From Song of Susannah
The site is making a very serious push towards crediting all the images and artwork out here.
The kindness of close friends is like a warm blanket
I know, I did the same thing.
I changed the guidelines to reflect that as well.
I can't believe I was all worried about the written references and didn't even think about artistic ones.
"People, especially children, aren't measured by their IQ. What's important about them is whether they're good or bad, and these children are bad." ~ Alan Bernard
"You needn't die happy when your day comes, but you must die satisfied, for you have lived your life from beginning to end and ka is always served." ~ Roland Deschain
Which book said Los is the son of the "Red Queen"? It makes me think of Alice in Wonderland.
Yeah, I'm quite sure that was the comics.

I know you guys don't like to think it was the Red Queen from AIW, but I like to think so, because I just do. She was just as much a blood-crazy spider as the thing which calls himself the Eater of Worlds.
In the graphic storyline the Crimson King tells Roland that not all of King Arthur's mates were human. One of them was a creature of the Prim from which CK was born. You can see a little bit or his mother in a picture, and she is dark. However, she could probably take on many guises, one of which was probably the Red Queen in AIW. So there.
I'd put more of a bet on the mother being Rose Madder then the Red Queen of AIW...
It's greatly hinted at in the novel that Rose has some horrible rabies-like disease and isn't quite human.
I have an art degree and specialized in painting. One of the other names for the color 'rose madder' itself is 'Alizarin Crimson', and it is a very strong red.
