I don't quite get everyone's fascination with "IT". It was a good book, no doubt, but pales in comparison to "The Shining", which IMHO is King's greatest achievement. It's a complete story with character developement, great plot and a bonafide ending. "IT" was a top notch "Typical" King book that was great until he screwed the pooch on the ending, though not as badly as on other occasions. JMHO is all and I am sure I am in the minority.
