you're right on....
it's my old text book for digital logic (i'm a computer chip design engineer for AMD)
i actually had dug it out to settle a bet with my girlfriend - who is an IT person - for the IRS - she keeps their servers running...
when i said something about my hard drive memory, she tried to tell me hard drives weren't memory.... but "space" - and that computer memory was the RAM andvirtual memory.
i corrected her and said hard drive is memory, as is RAM and ROM- it's just a different type - ie. permanent storage memory verses temporary storage.
After debating for 20+ minutes - i went and got the text book...
to quote:
Memory Cell: "A device or electrical circuit used to store a single bit (0 or1). Examples of memory cells include a flipflop, a charged capacitor, and a single spot on magnetic tape or disk."
" Auxiliary memory- also referred to as mass storage because it stores massive amounts of information external to the internal memory(the working memory)....Magnetic tape and disk are common auxilary memory devices."
She says the text book is dated, and I'm still wrong... go figure.
yeah.... very very nerdy geeky
.
good thing i'm also a DJ - to balance out the geekness.
an artsy pic i did of my gal....
yeah, she's a hardheaded nerdy gal that works for the tax-man.... but i think i'll still keep her.
.
That's a cool pic! I like it.

I don't have too many pictures of myself, but a couple of years ago I visited Alaska.
Had an absolutely wonderful time.

Beautiful country up there, siep!

this was kinda cool... i DJ'd / provided the sound system for a school event yesterday that featured olympian Michael Phelps.... for those that don't follow it, he owns the record for the most gold metals ( 8 ) won in one olympics ever.
i made a real easy 725.00 bucks for about 3 hours work...and got to hang out with phelps.
here's some pics.... that's my mike he's holding...hmmm, wonder if i can sell it on ebay for triple the cost now...
Nice pics. Thanks for those, he's hot!
Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.
Cool, Terry.
Did he grow a porn 'stache?
definitely a pornstache...
here's a news link to it.... at the start of the video, the kids are doing the wave to a song i was playing.
you can see me in the far background in the last 5 seconds of the video - i'm in the lime green shirt/orange cap - my microphones get a lot more face time than i did ha ha.

Nice. Congrats. Convertibles are great-I own one. Hopefully you negotiated a bargain price, in light of the economy, and the fact we are approaching winter.
good price yes... and i actually chose it over the HUMMER i planned on getting when i left this morning.... because of the economy/gas prices (it gets three times the gas mpg that the Hummer would...and that my Dodge RAM does get)
as far as winter goes.... i live in austin texas.... we look forward to the cool 60 degree winter weather here.... real winter lasts about 2 weeks here, with maybe only a week of 40 and under days per year here.
I like the speed bump, Terry! It's cute!
Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think.
Sweet ride, Terry. Congrats!
thanks guys.... it's my first car where the speedometer goes up to 150 MPH - wonder if it actually goes that fast..... may have to take it out this weekend ha ha.
Wow! Congratulations!

Hehe, to get up that fast around Austin you are going to have to do it on the highway, since ther arn't that many straight roads around there. Although I did find one up north along time ago and hit 120 on it, good luck!
I am so jealous, I so badly want to be in Austin again. Went to high school just north of Austin and loved my life there. It is such a beautiful place. And I so miss the "winters" there... cold? what cold?
Nice wheels, Terry!

Wow that takes me back, used to go there in the summer with the church group, the all time best water slide ever!!!! Not to mention the rapids they had for innertubbing, I'm sure they had to shut those down becuase god knows in this day and age you can't have something that dangerous in a water park.
You were in those parts before me since by the time my family moved down there Schiltterbahn had been there a while.
