So who's excited? I'm surprised we haven't had a thread for this yet, given how hyped this is as the next GOT. We shall see. Looks great.

I have been anticipating this for awhile now. Funny enough, I'm receiving The Last Wish in the mail today. I can't wait to start reading through them. Even though they aren't really related, I think The Witcher 3 is one of the best games this generation. I'm glad Cavill feels the same
I'm here for it for sure. I'm hoping this blossoms into a GoT level narrative (minus the last season of course). All reports I'm reading point to this being another Netflix homerun, so I"m excited.

Haven't played it yet. All my gaming pals told me that it's nbd if you jump straight into Witcher 3 (which is considered one of the greatest RPG's of all time) as it does a nice job of recapping the prior 2 games.
I'm waiting for PlayStation to drop the price for Christmas so I can pick it up. Last year they were selling it at $15.99 with all DLC expansions, and word is those expansions are big enough to almost be games by themselves! Just waiting to pounce...
Someone read the books?
If someone is curious about the games, but isn't likely to ever play them, here are some lengthy looks at each of the three games that give a good overview (and there's a lot to overview):
The third part is done by another YouTuber, since the guy who did the first two excellent videos just hasn't gotten to it yet. This will probably give you all you need to know about the games. However, they're not based on the novels, on which the show is based, but are a separate story. So hopefully the series does the games eventually too.

I watched the first three episodes. I'm enjoying it.
"One day you're going to figure out that everything they taught you was a lie."
Due to a hectic schedule, I haven't been able to check out the show yet, but I'm glad to see positive opinions here. Some critics are being super negative about the show, especially EW's review. If anything, hearing about all the gratuitous nudity makes me more excited, so whatever.
Any gamers here should at the very least pick up the third game. Its cheap, and one of the finest games you could play this generation. Anybody who played Skyrim or any other Elder Scrolls game will be right at home.
I binged the first 6 episodes and am definitely hooked. Too bad season two will not come around until 2021!

Just started it this morning, 2 episodes in. I like the flow, the combat is nice, although the music is a little to pandering sometimes.
Henry Cavill is great as Geralt. He has his voice and mannerisms down perfectly. Was a little skeptical about him at first but he's dissipated all my doubts.
A couple things to keep in mind, the books are collections of short stories, so they're not one cohesive narrative and the show reflects this. As Br!an noted, large parts of the show are flashbacks and don't take place in the "present day". It should get easier to follow the more you watch though, and it's worth it!
Overall I found it to be very forgettable. Also, Cavill's low guttural growling got on my nerves.
….oh.....I really hated that that singing idiot just went away. I wanted him to have a slow and horrible death...
