I ran the test, and it seems they've improved slightly.Ouch. I get that on my cell phone.
I'm on a barrier island, and so the infrastructure isn't on the cutting edge. I could get probably 30-40 Mb/s with a cable connection.
I recently received a notice in the mail that they are upgrading the service. I don't know if that means it will be faster or simply cost me more.

That's a nice upload speed. I get similar downloads (200Mb+) but my provider (Virgin Media) caps the uploads @ 12Mb. I'd trade 50Mb download for double upload to 25Mb upload in a heartbeat.Dayum!

I honestly couldn't tell any difference when my provider upgraded my service (for free) from 100Mb download and 10Mb upload to 200Mb and 20Mb. What difference would you expect to see if your upload speed were increased to 20 or 25Mb?That's a nice upload speed. I work from home so transferring large files (Database snapshots, Virtual Machine images, etc) would really benefit from an increased upload speed. I agree with small stuff like emails or web sites, it's barely noticeable. There still are some very generous people in this world. My employer, who is also a friend, who I have worked with for the last 12 years (with and for) just gifted me a bonus so I can put a down payment on a house. Mind blown.
