Default Favorite Cover(s) in the series

Of all the versions that are out for all the Novels, What version do you like the best? I have to say since I just read the books last year and bought the newer versions I like the first 4 books the best. I wish they had continued using that type of art of the last 3.

No worries. It's a great idea.

Let's see - I really love the UK Sphere covers.

I own this book and love the cover :

I also love this one, the Gunslinger 3rd. Again, as book I own.

I know I have a link someplace ( at home ) which shows all the various covers. I'll look it up and post it here when I can.

    Great thread!

maerlyn - wouldn't it be hard to have a poll, though - there are probably 20+ different covers between editions, and UK versions, etc.

Yeah you're right. When I first read the thread I was just thinking of the first seven original covers.

CK's pick of DTVII is my #1 pic as well. I have a Whelan of that on my office wall.

    agreed, those were great!

The Gunslinger one is my favourite DT cover. it is what got me interested in the series in the first place.

The Gunslinger and The Waste Lands were what caught my eye. Those are my top 2 probably in that order too.

Thanks, I was kind of surprised when I was doing a search that nobody had started a thread like this yet. I saw a bunch saying what's your favorite SK book, Favorite DT book, and Least favorite. I was also kind of curious if there was a certain cover that people went for with all the different types that are out there.

When I was just starting to read the books I only had the first 2. My wife asked me what I wanted for my Birthday since her parents didn't have any ideas. So I told her I wanted them to get me more of the dark tower books. When I got them they got me the rest of them. But they were all in the small trade edition. So I went to the store on the way home and traded them all in for the bigger ones and payed the difference.

It's amazing how hard a time I had trying to find that cover of The Wastelands.
