I have one of those for sale. It will be interesting to see what it goes for. Apparently recent sales went for ~$350.
Sadly these have been selling for $125 shipped on Rare King. There is a few of them out there...

That was my listing. I was just testing the waters with an extremely high price to see what kind of offers I would get. I was going to gradually lower the price every few days.

I ended it because I decided to do a straight up trade for a signed If It Bleeds from a user here. I got some input from a few different people and it seems like a fair trade to me. I know a copy of If It Bleeds went for $725 recently at Betts. Obviously there was no way I'd get close to $1200 for Later, but if I got offers in between $600-$800 I probably would have pounced. Then I have to consider the damn ebay fees as well. I think I'll be happy doing it this way.

I think you made a great trade! 374 copies of later. Vs 250 copies of if it bleeds! My friend (and another member here) is over the moon to get your copy of later! As a teacher he could not justify spending $625. Or more for a s/l! I always like to see a win win like this!

These CD auctions are out of control. No way this is worth the current bid being unsigned:

Slipcased BLACK HOUSE/TALISMAN Stephen King Peter Straub HC Set 1984 Scribner/CD

Damn! Is the Scribner set considered to be worth more than the Grant gift set? I didn't think the Scribner set was worth anywhere near that.

I have several myself and they are really nice cases, but mine seem to have 'reacted' to each other. they were shelved next to each other (perhaps a little too tightly) and stuck together. when separated, the exterior of the cases were damaged.
they look cool but be careful with them.

$250 for a case?!? My $50 cases do a fine job already of protecting the book.

Yep, they are traycases and really nice. A $50 probably does fine but when you have a flawless Carrie... might as well treat her ya know? Lol

its absurdly high for a case. My local bookbindery makes archival traycases to your exact specs for $75-100. That includes foil stamping and your choice of material. Leather costs more but not a ton more.
Foil stamping is much cheaper than embossing.

Nice meeting you as well and I'm glad I could add this to my collection. It was very gracious of you to do it this way. Can't wait to get that copy of Later to you!

I haven't been collecting too long now, but I'm glad I've joined the party. I've already met a lot of great people in the book community over the months and I've been able to get some great books as well.
