Good shit man! I got the KH3 platinum too. It's not super difficult but its definitely a time commitment with those insane number of collectibles.
Also I couldn't resist temptation and I picked up Assassin's Creed Valhalla. I watched a lore video beforehand and oooooh boy, it confirmed my suspicion of what a clusterfuck the modern day story has become.
Still, it looks like Ubisoft is looking to right the ship with this game and the actual Viking portion of the game is fun as hell.
I haven't played Valhalla, and I won't until the complete edition can be picked up for around $30 as I did Origins and Odyssey, but from what little I've seen and read on it, sounds like the modern day, and just the lore in general in Valhalla is very strong. I'm excited!

I finally got Civ6 nice and cheap and I can't wait to get into it. I'll just to pick my spots to drop a hundred bucks on the expansions at some point. They're supposed to turn it into a whole new and better game.

I'm hopelessly addicted to AC Valhalla rn. It feels so good to get lost in this franchise again. I feel like someone who 'quit' smoking 3 years ago and took his first puff of a cigarette again
This makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, feev! Yay!!!
Hint hint, there's a Black Friday sale going on at Ubisoft, and both Origins and Odyssey (my fav) can be had for a good price. Odyssey Ultimate is $30 and Origins Gold is just $20! This contains all the DLC and so so worth it. If you're enjoying Valhalla, the previous two games were all building up to it. I personally love these new adventures.
I would, but dude my backlog is insane already and I want to have time for PS5 games so I'll have to leave some games behind permanently.
I already watched the lore videos for both Origins and Odyssey so I think I'm good to keep going with Valhalla and onward. I want to platinum it before I get to Cyberpunk in a few weeks time
AC Unity really left a bad taste in my mouth that I'm now a little leery about Valhalla.

I tried to replay AC:3 since the remastered version came with my edition of Odyssey...I played for three or four hours and now whenever I tried to load the game it just freezes and I can't play it. Apparently this has been an issue with the game since release and Ubisoft just hasn't patched it. This is exactly why I fucking refuse to pay full price for any AAA games. Imagine charging money for a product that doesn't work and then just ignoring people's complaints. It seems like video game companies are the ones who are able to get away with this type of shit. I was going to buy the Ezio Trilogy on Xbox One for cheap until I read the same issue occurs with Revelations, which is my favourite of the franchise, so fuck that.
I still have to play Rogue. I'll likely skip Unity. Then I'll play Origins and Odyssey. I'll get to Valhalla after like when like 5 other games have been released in the franchise.

You know how I feel about the mediocreness that is Unity, but believe me when I tell you - Valhalla is worth every penny. I haven't felt the hunger to explore an open world like this one in a long time. The combat is glorious and the writing is top shelf. I'll probably have to shake up my Top 3 AC games after I finish this.
Unity actually has some of the best parkour in the entire series. It's so fluid.
I picked up Control Ultimate edition (only because I heard about that great Alan Wake DLC) and The Evil Within with all the DLC. I hear the DLC in The Evil Within is fantastic and overall it's a good, old school survival horror experience. I'm trying to decide if I want to pick up Red Dead 2 Ultimate Edition now or just wait. It does go on sale for around the same price every few months.

Control is another one I want to get to before I jump to the PS5. Looks right up my alley.
Also, I'm officially obsessed with Valhalla. I've put in over 60 hours this long Thanksgiving weekend. I was initially a little dismayed when I first started and read online that I'd have to put in over 130+ hours for the Platinum, but now it feels short. I want to extract every single ounce of juice from this awesome game.
In case anyone is interested, MLB the show 20 is like 80% off in the Playstation store. I just downloaded the basic game for $11.
Hearts are tough, she said, most times hearts don't break, and I'm sure that's right . . . but what about then? What about who we were then? What about hearts in Atlantis?
I was still playing MLB The Show 16 up until the beginning of this year. I haven't played the new one that much but it's basically the same but with new players and different things to do. My biggest problem so far has been my crapping internet losing connection in the middle of a game and me losing all my progress. I have yet to even play a full game.

I picked up Control yesterday. I'll probably take a small break from Valhalla -I'm creeping up on 80 hours now- to take this for a spin.

Metal Gear Solid movie to star Oscar Isaac as Solid Snake
Sony’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie adaptation will star Oscar Isaac as protagonist Solid Snake, according to Deadline. You might be familiar with Isaac as Resistance fighter Poe Dameron in the latest Star Wars film trilogy and his upcoming role as Duke Leto Atreides in Dune, and I think he could be a great fit to play Solid Snake.
Apparently Isaac did, too, as he cast himself for the role in this interview:
The Metal Gear Solid movie, which is still in development, will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts. But like some other movie adaptations of video games, this one has been in development for years — Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima first revealed that a movie was in the works all the way back in 2006. A start date for production is still unknown, according to Deadline, so it doesn’t seem like we should expect the movie anytime soon.
Hopefully Isaac’s casting for the leading role in could indicate that the movie might really happen. The Uncharted movie, which has also been in the works for over a decade, appears to have actually had scenes filmed, so perhaps that’s a good omen for the Metal Gear Solid.
