I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.
Hearts are tough, she said, most times hearts don't break, and I'm sure that's right . . . but what about then? What about who we were then? What about hearts in Atlantis?

I just feel Airplane had a greater impact. Maybe it's a product of being alive when the movie was out. IDK. It was a tough choice.

    Ted Striker:
My orders came through. My squadron ships out tomorrow. We're bombing the storage depots at Daiquiri at 1800 hours. We're coming in from the north, below their radar.

    Elaine Dickinson:
    When will you be back?

    Ted Striker:
    I can't tell you that. It's classified.
All that's left of what we were is what we have become.

Good grief. I love both of these movies. Full Metal Jacket was the last movie I saw before shipping out to Basic Training. So, yeah, it stuck with me.

But Airplane! was just a paradigm shift for movies as far as I was concerned. I was 12 when I first saw it, at the movie theater with my dad and sister. Airplane! just rocked my world at the time, and continues to rock it every time I watch it.

    Airplane! gets the vote.

One of the most disturbing/depressing against one of the most silliest in this tournament. Obviously, it's FMJ.

Not to mention how much of the movie is sight gags.

    THIS IS MY RIFLE
THERE ARE MANY LIKE IT BUT THIS ONE IS MINE

On the real tho I love both of these, but I watched FMJ in history class one day and it knocked me on my ass. It blew my 17 year old mind.

Airplane. I hate myself for not picking FMJ, but Airplane had the longer lasting impact.
