It's interesting to me to see what people's favorite music videos are.
Mine is Land of Confusion - Genesis.
If you have more than one favorite, list them.

I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. - Edgar Allan Poe
Bunch together a group of people deliberately chosen for strong religious feelings, and you have a practical guarantee of dark morbidities expressed in crime, perversion, and insanity. - H.P. Lovecraft
Oooh, Land of Confusion, starring the Splitting Images puppets, a classic!
In Digitized Remorse
Disturbed (a band that I do not like) tried to re-make the song. Ruined it!

Good choice.

It isn't that bad, I just like Phill collins as the singer better.

Losing My Religion by R.E.M.
I love this song, and the video is just so neat and bizarre.

Heart-Shaped Box by Nirvana. This is another video that I love because of it's sheer bizarre nature.

Everybody Hurts by R.E.M. is also amazing. I love the subtitles of what all of these people are thinking. It goes so well with the song. I get lost in this video and can't stop watching it.

American Jesus by Bad Religion
I just love how everyone is walking around, going about their business carrying their own personal crosses. The part where everyone is standing there blindfolded, with their hands over their hearts chanting 'One Nation.....Under God...." is pretty powerful as well.

These next two videos are from a local band(Lexington, Ky.) called The Middle Fork. They are both very entertaining videos and songs. This first one is especially cool.

There's one hole in every revolution, large or small. And it's one word long.. people. No matter how big the idea they all stand under, people are small and weak and cheap and frightened. It's people that kill every revolution.
This isn't an actual music video, but a live Metallica performance. Still, it is amazing because it is from when Cliff Burton was still around and it fully illustrates why Metallica slowly went down hill after he died.

I do like a couple Disturbed songs though. Stricken for example.

"Lucky Three"- An eleven minute music video/ documentary featuring three songs by Elliott Smith. Songs: "Between the Bars" "Angeles" and "Thirteen" The video was made by Jim Cohen who followed Elliott around for three days and spliced the footage in between three live performances of the aforementioned songs. Maybe not a music video proper, but the closest I could become to narrowing it down to a favorite.
I have never heard of Elliott Smith. It's always cool to learn about a new musician though!

The main thing I remember from my MTV days (back when they played videos) was that Peter Gabriel was one weird dude.

Elliott died in 2003. He committed suicide unfortunately. He was indie but had some comercial success with "Miss Misery" a song that he wrote for the Goodwill Hunting soundtrack in 1995. He was nominated for an academy award for best original composition but lost to Celine Dion. If you like folk/indie/singer-songwriter/emo stuff you'll love him. Very passionate. I have no idea what you think of when someone uses "emo" but keep in mind this was fifteen-twenty years ago. Emo has become a really stupid fad in my opinion. It (Smith) was emotional, it was raw, it was beautiful. The video I mentioned is actually on U Tube. Check it out by all means. I love introducing people to Elliott. Let me know if you have any questions.
