Los Condenados isn't bad, either (my nominee). I fully understand that neither of them has a chance.

bears are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dracula and Silence of the Lambs are personal favorites of mine, but I'm not sure how deserving they are within the context of horror... ahhhh dammit...
REC was fucking amazing. Thanks to whoever recommended it.
Will need to think on this.
I think Frailty made it into the competition twice or is this another round? That being said SotL is one of my all time favorites and still gives me chills.
The best part of going to the movies:
No, this is another film (Shiver): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0896927/
What the F--- we have a ringer ESCALOFRIO is just FRAILTY under another title.
I got the wrong Escalofrio? Can someone link me to the poster of the correct version and I'll update the original post?
Thanks!

Gonna go with New Nightmare. It's great, very meta. Perfect bookend to the original.

Insomnia #459

Escalofrio
Well it's the same movie, one is the American poster, the other is the Spanish poster.
I know that I watched REC 2, but I can hardly remember it.

I love the hell out of [rec]2 and 3, one for its intensity and one for it's sheer entertainment value. When it comes to the third one it's my favourite though I'm definitely in the minority bUT I've watched it at least five times. I am waiting impatiently for [Rec]4 Apocalipsis.
I need to mull this over, some good films in here besides what I nominated. Leaning towards The Evil Dead or New Nightmare.

New Nightmare was the first horror movie I saw, I was seven. It's why I love horror movies so it'll probably get my vote due to sentimentality.

Gosh, tough. The Silence of the Lambs is probably the best movie of the group, and I really liked Bram Stoker's Dracula. But as a pure horror, I think I'm going to have to vote for [REC].
Evil Dead will probably get my vote, love that one. But I'm a little torn as I really enjoyed Escalofrio and [REC].
I wouldn't waste your time.
2 is the one with the kids right? If so that whole premise really irritated me. 3 was better, but no where in the same league as the first.
Only the gentle are ever really strong.
Hm, no love for Cloverfield at all? I thought it was great. And this. Is. Ep. Ic:
I love Cloverfield...I saw that in a sneak preview in Toronto and it was one of the best theatre experiences ever. I just can't vote it above some others here. Michael Giacchino is one of my favourite working composers in Hollywood. There was a sampler of his stuff on youtube that featured his music from games like Black (awesome Xbox title) to movies like Speed Racer and The Incredibles to TV shows like Lost.
