Just noticed my copy of the 11.22.63 UK proof with the Embargoed statement is #/400.
That seems a lot, especially if there were 70 of the other state as well.
I'm not sure that REALLY indicates there were 400 copies done. They seem too scarce for that.
John
That's what I thought, I haven't been around consistently since the release but I can only remember seeing 4 or 5 copies for sale in total, of both states.
Do we know what the highest number seen so far is?
I won't win any prizes, my one is in the 30's.
Mine is #193 with the Embargoed statement, #52 of the other.
John
It looks like there are at least 200 of that state then (if they are numbered sequentially).
Thanks.
14.2.70, 021/400 (not embargoed/embargoed). Do these numbers mean anything?
I'm sure if there is intelligent life somewhere out there in the universe, they are wise enough to stay away from us.
And the people bowed and prayed, to the cell phone god they made...
14.2.70 I take to mean it's #14 of 70 copies of the 2nd state. I could be wrong.
021/400 could mean it's #21 of 400 copies. Again, I'm just guessing.

Having seen the ARC's, I am even more excited about the future arrival of the final editions I have on order, including the Signed Limited.
Darn that camera glare. These pics don't do them justice.

Which books are you talking about, Bob?

Not sure why they wouldn't want pics of them posted since there are pics of them on their site.
Christine
Not only on their site, but I believe Brian James Freeman posted them in his blog. Perhaps they don't want people to post pics of the ones they have obtained, to keep the owners anonymous.
I must be missing something. Are you talking about The Dark Man proofs?

Quick question. How much would the Hodder and Stoughton LISEY"S STORY proof go for? It'a the one that is numbered out of 100 copies.
Thanks!

I'd say $300-400, more if it has a mint slipcase.
John
I have one that I would be willing to sell, though it's not in mint condition
There's a cheap copy on ABE now (without slipcase). I used to own #231 (also without slipcase), got it for much less than $300 though!
(Yes, there were more than 100 copies issued).
