I went with B&B but like Family Guy, I fear they won't survive this round.
ER
If you are going through hell - keep going
I went with B&B because I've seen every episode. I didn't bother to do that with ER.

Beavis and Butthead because their childish antics me LMAO.
Hunh-uhn-un. Hunh-uhn-un. You said "A." Huh huh huh. Hunh.
I have to go with Dr.Green and Dr.Carter
ER is winning? This is a tragedy. Beavis and Butthead arguably have some of the best character development ever portrayed in a cartoon.
ER = not good.
Beavis and Butthead = not good, but more enjoyable than ER.

FYI : Over it's lifetime, ER won 22 Emmy awards. 22.
Actually, here's the stats from wiki ... so I'm just going to giggle at Mattrick. I love how he states his opinion as fact.
The series has been nominated for 375 industry awards and has won 116. ER won the George Foster Peabody Award in 1995. In addition, the series has received 124 Emmy Award nominations. The series has won 22 Emmy Awards. It also won the People's Choice Award for "Favorite Television Dramatic Series" every year from 1995 to 2002. Over the years, it has been nominated for and/or won numerous other awards, including Screen Actors Guild Awards, Image Awards, GLAAD Media Awards, and Golden Globe Awards, among others.
Here's The Complete List
And since you've been touting character development ... explain please, how B&B did with that?!

Pam - weren't you dismissing awards/nominations as an inproper method of measuring the worth of a show in the Dexter vs (someone) thread ? My how the tables have turned
OMG! Totally !!! Yes!!! That was me, exactly!! ( actually, I think it might have been in a movie thread - where there's no way an oscar can equal greatness, but same thing, basically, yes!! )
That's why I love these polls... they drive me crazy!!!

Come on, Beavis! This is gonna be cool!
If you noticed I also said B&B was not good too. But since I find hospital dramas to be the epitome of bad TV, it was more enjoyable to watch. And really, ER had those emmy noms when their stiffist competition was NYPD Blue and Law and Order. Before Sopranos/West Wing they had: 65 primetime emmy noms. After the competition got stiff and TV drama became much better, they had 19. So 65 noms (4 wins) from 95-1999. 19 noms (3 wins) from 2000-2009. Big difference in TV drama, ER had it's fanbase but was being outshined by other TV dramas.
I do thank ER for helping launch my man, George Clooney.

Now that is how you reap awards.

I'm not a fan of many hospital dramas as well. I did get hooked on House though. Actually, the best hospital drama I've seen is Strong Medicine. It's about a fee women's clinic, and I loved it! I had a smaller fan base, but it wasn't 'fake' feeling like House can feel at times.
Uhhhhh...huhhuh....uuuuuuuuuuummmmm....ER is stupid huhhuh.
Sloth Love Chunk
Mattrick - thank you for being able to also quote the wiki. I actually like your response to me here, because you wrote something beyond "ER = not good".
Though I didn't go back and find the quote ( yeah, knock yourself out if you want to ) ... I think I said something like "B&B wasn't as great as everyone was saying" or something to that effect. I enjoyed it - I just think it's been out classed against it's competition so far.
And ... scene.
However, I'm fairly sure George Clooney was launched due to his excellent work on Facts of Life ... and that show already got bumped from the tourny, I think. And let's not forget his electric turn as Booker in Roseanne ... or as Falconer in Sisters.

Yeah, but, come on: it was ER that made him a household word.
Sometimes I like succintness.
Oh yeah, people knew him. But it was ER that put him out there big time. Not long after his movie career took off; From Dusk Till Dawn, The Peacemaker, Out of Sight. All pretty successful movies. Clooney is one of my favourite actors. However, I'm fairly sure George Clooney was launched due to his excellent work on Facts of Life ... and that show already got bumped from the tourny, I think.
