The Joker (The Dark Knight)
Vito Corleone (The Godfather)
"So many vows. They make you swear and swear. Defend the King, obey the King, obey your father, protect the innocent, defend the weak. But what if your father despises the King? What if the King massacres the innocent? It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or another."
I agree with this. It was pretty much just Jack in makeup. (although I've noticed that a lot of the older, established movie stars kinda fall into that trap...these guys just end up playing themselves in every role they're given) I liked his Joker but even back then I felt that he was a little old and out of shape for the part. When that movie came out I thought that Christian Slater would have been a better Joker. But Jack 20 years earlier? That would have ruled.
Michael Keaton is still my favorite Batman though.
At least we avoided this bullet - without having to use bullet time, no less:
It'll take a lot more than words and guns,
A whole lot more than riches and muscle.
The hands of the many must join as one.
And together we'll cross the river.
